Funny how i wrote 2 completely different posts about different players and eric gave me the "it sucks" for both.

What a shock that eric and Duece would think that Newton is not on the same level with those other QBs.

Neither one of them seem to make any sense but they are consistent.

This is why I love this message board. Very informative post, especially for ones like myself which don't get to watch much College football. The wife gives me one day to watch football and I'm forced to choose Sundays :). From the videos I've watched of Stanzi, I gotta say I'm really impressed. Other than Luck he seems to look the most like a pro. He has the two most important things a QB can have, excellent accuracy and good anticipation. His arm doesn't look amazingly strong... very similar to Sanchez I'd say, but I'm fine with that. It doesn't matter how strong your arm is if you can't put the ball where you want or hit a receiver in stride... see VY.

All of us here, know that we have to draft a QB to develop at some point in this draft. Is Stanzi a guy that can realistically be had in the 3rd where we pick, or would he have to be taken top of round 2? I'd love for us to draft this guy but if his stock is slipping, I'd rather us us a 3 on him.

At the end of the day if our draft looks like. Paea in round 1, Stanzi in 2 I'd be happy as a clam.

Stanzi will likely be available in the 4th, maybe in the 5th.

I gotta give you credit, Deuce. You stick your neck out there and make some bold predictions at times. Doesn't always work out, but at least it's interesting.

I don't have any big problems with your rankings. I would have Locker #1, but I don't feel that strongly about it at this point.

Some of the reasons have already been covered (Mallett has a much better team and shows poor decision-making on the field), but I will also add that Mallett is thought to be a "bad apple," not a good leader and there are strong rumors that he has substance abuse problems.

It might be time for you to start understanding how people prefer Locker.

I tend to agree with Gloat ITT. But I really don't like any of the QBs in this class that would be considered at #8. I'd prefer to take a chance on one in the 3rd or later. Or just pack it up and hope for Luck next year.

    Mallett: Do not want.

I can guarantee Ricky Stanzi will not have the best career of this draft class, and will not be the first QB picked...

I'm with Roll Tide on this one, how can you just discount Cam's performances against the top competition? Dude has been great. I don't think it's realistic for us to him because of the guy we just got rid of, but he has definitely proven to be the most successful and most productive of the QBs this year. He didn't just win the Heisman because he's a popular choice, his play earned it.

I don't care who the team decides to go with now. I just want that person to be squeaky clean off the field. I don't think Cam Newton fits that bill.
