good points. The only ones I wouldn't say are bad are Plummer and Orton. Orton is worse.

I agree Nick, there's 3 to 5 guys on that list I'd say weren't bad but the typical fans of hype players like VY would say they all suck.

Jay Fielder was 37-23. Where was his love? Is it because he wasn't an amateur football hero? Not a hype machine? Maybe the "Man" wasn't holding him back.

I agree that you can't judge a QB just by his record or his stats. It takes a lot to evaluate a QB, in my opinion, you really have to watch them on the field.

However, this is very telling in regards to W/L:

    2006:
    VY not starting: 0-2
    VY starting: 8-5

    2009:
    VY not starting: 0-6
    VY starting: 8-2

    2010:
    VY not starting: 2-7
VY starting: 3-3 (didn't count the W vs. the Jags where he started but only threw 3 passes)

You can point to the year where Vince didn't play and the Titans were the #1 seed but you don't know that doesn't happen if VY plays since we didn't see him with that same team. Bringing that up would be much like praising a QB for his win-loss record and considering no other factors.

Jake Plummer was actually pretty good in his prime. He played on a really bad Cardinal team for a few years though. Seems that he just couldn't handle the stress of his best buddy dieing (Pat Tillman) and then going to Denver and having Shanahan annoint him as the new John Elway.

Almost sounds eerily familiar to a certain Titan QB.

Vy was in college in 2005.

2009, Fisher did him the BIGGEST favor by ignoring Bud Adams and waiting until after the Bye to get VY in. Players like Finnegan got healthy, the schedule no longer had N.E., Jets and the Steelers on it and had Buffalo and SF's instead.

2008 happened, with a QB that many consider worse than VY. What more proof do you need that the team can win without Young?

    Obviously that should be 2006.

The team was 0-6, losing the 6th game 59-0 then went on to win 8 out of the last 10 games when VY was re-inserted. The decrease in quality of the opponents considered, still telling. Same thing this year... the team was very respectable with VY starting and then was absolutely terrible when he was removed from the equation. The same team in the same year with amazingly different results with and without VY.

I never said the team can't win without Vince Young. I was just pointing out the obvious positive impact on the team that can be seen looking at W/L when you add/remove him the equation in a year.
