VY is finally history, yee haw!

We're halfway there, now fire Fish and I'll get my happy dance going.

 

Let us set the Fisher issue aside for a moment because they could have sacked both and many have suggested just that.

We don't know everything that went on this past season or so with VY on a week by week basis. Hate Fisher all you want but he never had such issues with his other QBs like Mcnair, O'donnell or KC. There are obviously things that went on that were considered unacceptable to not just Fisher but also to MR and Underwood.

Whether it was being late for, or missing meetings or not practicing well or putting in the time watching film or a combination of all of those it was not just something Fisher made up it had to have been significant enough for this moment to happen.

We can debate the coaching situation all we want but VY must have done things that would irritate any coach and GM and that is why he is gone. His act of insubordination was the last straw but the ground work was already there.

We as a team save a lot of money not just for next year but money that we would have had to pay out in a new contract. Now we can get a comparable player for much less money and move on.

 

If losing a lot of games when he's not on the field while winning 2/3 when Vince does play was your epic prognostication after the draft, then congratulations.

I've lurked this board since the day Vince got drafted and I have to say that Ewker and dbc rank among the top all time message board d-bags, not among goTitans, but among all message boards on all the internet.

Ewker and dbc: I'll check in with you down the road when Vince is tearing it up for a new team and Tennessee is still mired in mediocrity. Deal?

 

Grain of salt. Regardless, I do believe most of the team wanted Fisher over Young. It just happened that the most vocal members of our team were also VY supporters.

 

I'm fine with cutting Vince, but if this means that Bud has "sided" with Jeff then I will be agitated. FFS, get rid of both. Vince can be a decent player under the right system, just not Fish's. So he has potential to be serviceable somewhere. Jeff? GTFO, we've maxed out with him. We haven't won a playoff game in what, 7 years now? Get rid of this coaching staff already.

 

Scaife, CJ, Britt, Griffin and Hall are my guesses on the 5.

As for some of the twitters, I find it funny that Washington or Marks think that anyone cares about their opinions. Neither went out and set that field on fire anyway.

I am still amazed Adams did this, I have to think it was more than just Fisher and the coaches coming to him and complaining about Vince. 2011 is boom or bust for Fish assuming we have football. My guess is we draft a QB fairly high (would love to go defense or O-line at 8 and trade up from the 2nd round to nab Gabbert late in the 1st) and go get a Palmer or McNabb for the here and now. Just kind of an early feeling, but I can't imagine their plan is just Collins. But Fisher has disappointed before, so I can't really rely on that thought process.

Regardless, I commend Adams for admitting his mistake and moving Vince. If Jeff comes back to finish his contract I'm ok with it. I'd like to see Cecil gone and no extensions to Fisher without a serious playoff run.
