Trust me... they'll consider VY and CJ.

They might listen for CJ, but then again they are a team (one of the few) that the past few years has been in pretty good position to say no to needing a RB

VY would just be more baggage on that deal probably...he doesn't really add terribly much in terms of the "high value" I think you're going for there

but likely to move up to a number that high, the pick would have to include CJ.....not necessarily making it a good trade on our part though

The Panthers are desperate. They could actually be a very good team with VY and CJ, assuming they make additions at the O-line.

I'm sorry but not as desperate as you'd like to think.

Plus all the recent commotion with Vince this season hinders his trade value and makes teams more hesitant to take him (because no one can really guarantee that any of it won't happen again)...because of just how high a pick we're talking about, adding him has almost near the same kind of effect as "oh you have to take X player who's been buried on the depth too" does on lower picks

I've actually heard some DeAngelo Williams may be done with them after this season talk

my fantasy keeper team hopes everyone who's saying that is true at least.....but it's still very much just a 'might' till we hear more from him

    DeAngelo is gone, man.

They already said that they were impressed enough with Goodson to stick with him.

You did notice how I said for "something or someone in return", right? They would give us one of their RBs because we clearly don't have anyone other than CJ thanks to Fisher.

I wouldn't mind signing DeAngelo, assuming we can fix our O-line issues.

Interesting bit that could end up being a factor: If there is no CBA in place by the draft you can't trade players, only picks.

We faced 8 men in the box A LOT more often this year than last year plus CJ admitted he was banged up pretty good, he took some shots this year.

After watching Mallett tonight, 8th might be a little high. That being said he'll probably be gone before we pick. Barring some kind of trade with McNabb or Orton I don't see how the Cardinals AND 49ers can pass on a QB. Plus you never know about Cincinnati or Buffalo.
