"Fisher's Future" News Update Thread

OK...I retract the joke, leaving the post (in response to VY again not manning up and showing up) as:

As you know, I have my opinion on VY staying. BUT, if my choices are between both staying, and Fisher going/VY staying, I take choice #2 as the lesser of two evils. Not so much that option 2 is good, but option 1 is nothing short of a utter train wreck IMO.

Preferably BOTH should go, but, if one stays, the other HAS to go IMO.

 

I wonder why Bud is taking so long to decide what to do. I'm guessing he is trying to figure out if Fisher or VY is the bigger liar. Or, it takes a while to go over the books and decide how much, if any, money he's going to lose if he gets rid of both or just one.

 

So can we trade Fisher? I don't ever believe what comes out of his mouth but he is Co-Chair of the Competition Committee so I'm sure if anybody knows for sure it's him.

Sucks because I would love to see him end up in Dallas or San Francisco.

 

Cecil will be the first to go.

 

I think we are waiting for something for sure. If he was outright fired or he was going to be kept then the news would have come today I think. We are waiting on either an answer from the potential next head coach, a reply as to what some team would give us in return for a trade of fisher, or just waiting for someone to finish up a project (Ala - Mack Brown, Greg Williams, or Jim Schwartz.)-not my picks necessarily just a guess.

 

Just my gut here, but I really think that he was expecting Fisher to "go along" with getting along with VY (like he sang in his "Coke song" statement after the Redskins game). I think that the fact that Fisher continued sniping at VY (which was childish as well IMO, but it is what it is now) caught him off guard, and he is truly struggling with choosing between someone he has had with him for 17 years and someone who is from his hometown and he can use to "stick it" to the Texans (in his mind).

Couple that with the likelihood that both Underwood (who I think is pretty tight with Fisher) and Reinfeldt (who I think Fisher was instrumental in getting hired) stood up for their friend pretty strongly today, and you have someone with a very tough choice to make in his mind.

As I said in an earlier post, the longer this goes the uglier this gets. VY not showing up at the final team meeting is just the start here. It is only a matter of time before people start speaking out (probably on both sides), which is when the crap really will hit the fan, and real damage to this team's image and chemistry (what is left of it) is done IMO.

In the end, though, I think he still loses Fisher and keeps VY.

any player, ANY player, who does not want to be a pro needs to be cut. If CJ wants to pout cause 'the Diva' is losing street credentials to fish face then CJ needs to go, Griffin don't like it he can pack up his crap and hit the street as I am sure his value is at a peak now :scarcasm: Its obvious BS is full of BS as far as being a Titan or an X-tejas cowhorn so be it so long BS. Hall is the only one of the 4 with any sense as he has repeateadly stated he will do what is best for his family - meaning 'the Diva' can count Hall as a friend but not a guy willing to throw away a career for him.

 

My opinion all three central players come back and fish face announces open competition for all roster spots - and ammazingly all the veterans except 'the Diva' retain their starting spots no matter how much they get outplayed in preseason.
