Will forgo his senior year and enter the 2011 NFL draft. We could potentially draft him at #8.

Pros: Strong arm, compact delivery, good size, athletic, overall accuracy is good.

Cons: Can't read defenses very well. Won't make it to 2nd/3rd progressions, will take off if first guy isn't open. Questionable footwork. No pro-style experience.

I don't want this guy. Bust written all over him.

    Newton, Mallett, Locker over him.

No thanks, don't we already have that at the QB position?

Take him at #8? You're crazy. He's probably the 5th best QB prospect, possibly 4th. He's very inconsistent with his footwork and played mostly in a spread offense at Mizzou, didn't see him under center. He's a big guy, strong arm, decent athlete, had a good release, and seems to understand and recognize defenses. I bet he'll go before Locker.. still a 2nd round pick though.

That's slightly harsh. I personally don't like him, but he's been mentioned as a top 10 pick. I don't think he would've entered the draft unless he got a first round grade from the committee. I think when it's all said and done, he will be drafted fairly high.

At this point if we are going to nab a QB and Luck is not a possibility, then we just take one in the 2nd round. Why, because every year top QBs tend to slip out of the first round. If one does slip, we trade with up to Carolina, taking the first pick in round 2 assuming they take Luck they won't be in the running for another QB.

Prefer a guy who can read defenses.

hopefully someone reaches for Newton and we get Mallett. Just as long as we are not the team that reaches for Newton. It's time we get a pocket passer.

Why would we want a guy that cannot read defenses? Our O-line needs work as it is, why bring in a rookie that cant read defenses especially when we WILL have a at the very least a HC change in next couple years if not this off season? Mallet, Lock, Newton over him. If not wait until next draft IMO.

He's definitely a project but he's got all the tools to be great. I haven't seen enough of him to really say one way or another but I wouldn't say no to him just yet. But the spread doesn't bother me to much. Bradford adjusted pretty easily.
