So do you buy cameras also due to megapixel count or the quality of pictures they take? There's a difference there too...

I just hate to see people raped by apple while blindly buying whatever they sell.

It's just another reason to be disappointed by Americans and how thoughtless we've all become. Consumer whores.

Word. So will you buy another iPod, also? Or you're using the iPhone as a 2 birds 1 stone thing?

You could go htc HD7. Then you get to listen to unlimited downloads for 14.99 a month (10 free downloads to keep each month)... since it has Zune now.

Probably cheaper. Wouldn't have to wait. And better reception unless the iPhone does actually come to Verizon (at this point it doesn't make much sense that it would).

In a screen as small as a phone's pixels are extremely important. I look at phones all time when I'm meandering around a store, and the 4 has the best screen I've seen.

And I'm not brainwashed by Apple...I know some are....but most products have "fanboys", not just Apple. I had the original iPhone when it was king. Switched from it to a couple of Blackberrys and hated both of them. Went back to the iPhone when the 4 came out. I have plenty of complaints, but for the most part the iPhone is the best on the market for me. I really wish they'd allow swype texting and would allow the most practical apps to be used w/o jailbreaking though.

Check out the Samsung Super Amoled screens though before saying iPhone 4's are the best. You'll probably change your mind.

The side-by side comparisons show the Super Amoled screens make the iPhone's look almost grey.

There are reports (http://www.zdnet.com/blog/apple/apple-hoarding-cdma-chips-for-verizon-iphone/7880) that Apple has been buying a large number of CDMA chips, which would be the strongest sign to date that the Verizon iPhone may be real this time. I still don't see how it happens before 2012 when the AT&T contract should expire (a 5-year deal signed in 2007).

I'm no Apple lover at all, but I got the original iPhone because it was the best smartphone on the market at the time. Several android phones are just about even now, but to me it's a wash - they all have the same core functionality with ups and downs on the rest. I still think the iPhone 4 is the best hardware out there (not the best software though), and AT&T just gave it to me for free to renew my contract... another sign that AT&T believes the Verizon iPhone is coming soon. They are very aggressively seeking contract renewals, more than usual.

^But with others, you're not near as 'stuck' as you are with iPhone.

    For instance...

I run Windows Mobile 6.5 and Android on my phone. I'll be running Windows Mobile 7 in a month or so...

You don't have that type of flexibility with apple. Plus, they nickel and dime you for everything.

They've pretty much been taken to school with everything other than number of apps. I'm not big on apps... or the pointless ones, at least, so they can't convince me with that being the only thing left in their arsenal.

In reality, if it surfs the web, plays music, makes calls, texts, sends MMS and fits in your pocket, does it really matter what OS you're running? They all do essentially the same thing, it's just a matter of preference.

I'd rather not have to carry my phone and iPod around and was already on ATT, so the iPhone was the logical choice. If Ravenshallburn is in the same situation as I was I would totally recommend the iPhone. Although I would try to last until July to get the iPhone 5.
