If Kerry was able to make a game of it then Vince would have won it had Fisher kept him in. It was WAY too early to even think about pulling him at that point. And just to show his inconsistency, he didn't pull Kerry when he was sucking it up.

Now I'm not gonna argue VY's mental toughness, immaturity, not at all. I just seriously cannot for the life of me understand how any single one of us can honestly believe that Kerry Collins gives us a better chance to win than Vince does.

I'm not just some Texas Longhorns homer who has crowned Vince a God, far from it. His work ethic or rumored lack of one are all strong reasons to not want Vince. I understand that. But to say that Kerry is better is not even funny. Does Kerry put more time and work into getting better? Probably so. Does that actually him the better QB though? Not necessarily.

I remember a Fisher coached team sending the Manning's Colts packing in the play-offs. Seems I recall Eddie George putting up 162 rushing yards in that effort.

Though your observations are unique, your empirical research is extremely inaccurate and it would be almost impossible to arrive at an accurate conclusion. One factor that you must consider is the quality of the opponent that each coach faced with and without the "quality quarterback." Then that would probably derive some interesting results in itself.

    Yeah I agree 100%.

Does anyone here really believe that Tom Brady ever even sniffs 50 TD passes in a season with Jeff Fisher as his head coach?

It baffles me that people keep using the "elite QB" argument and the "he's done more with less talent argument". First, why are Titans fans the only fanbase that gives their head coach the caveat of not having an elite QB? No other team/fan base does this. Second, Fisher has chosen his talent (with the obvious exception) so he is responsible for the product he has put on the field and managing that product during the game. He just isn't getting it done.

I'm not sure that Brady wouldn't have been out of the league in 3 years under Fisher.

Come on now, were you seriously watching the same Steelers game I was? Vince was absolutely dumbfounded by the their defensive scheming.
Somehow you pull from my comments that I think Collins is a better QB though I have said many times that is not the case, but in this particular game it was correct to pull Vince and put in the vet who was more experienced and familiar with these reads than Vince. If Vince stays in he probably throws two or three more INTs and gets seriously injured.
I seriously doubt Vince considered throwing his stuff into the stands after that game after being pulled.- he was beaten.

I saw a Belichick quote the other day and I meant to start a thread on it but forgot. This is as good a thread as any for it. Following the win against the Packers last week he said “In the end it worked out, but we obviously have a lot of work to do. I think we need to play better than this or our season won’t last much longer,”

With his 12-2 team that is by far the most dominant in the league and the first time they don't steamroll a team in 4 or 5 weeks he says "we need to play better or our season won't last much longer"? That's the attitude I want out of my head coach. Not this "We played pretty good but we had some things that didn't go our way. We'll try to do better next week." BS we get out of Fisher after we get our butts handed to us. Fish seems much too accepting of mediocrity.
