    A Win.

High Draft pick doesn't mean a good player, especially at QB.

A win because Fisher is getting fired next year and we don't need a new QB we need new coordinators and a HC. Too much offensive talent besides the interior line to not be scoring tons of points. We need a DT, S, CB, and an OLB.

If VY sucks with a new OC then we move on next year. Def. should be priority number 1 right now.

I was rooting for a win...I agree with Tight that the draft is too unpredictable anyway. If we truly see a franchise QB out there, we can always trade up.

I really doubt that any outcome this season at this point changes Bud's approach in the offseason moves. From what I have read Fisher dissed VY's presence at the stadium today (said he was not aware VY was there). After reading this I think that, with Fisher, it may become a "VY or me" confrontation with Adams after the season, to which Adams takes VY, and we get at least one more year of debating VY without Fisher.

Fisher loses when wins benefit us the most.

He wins when losses benefit us the most.

Every year we are not making the playoffs we get the same old line. I hope we lose so we can get a higher pick BS. It's just a lame loser mentality. Go cheer for another team if you are not a true fan.

Joe Flacco was an 18th pick. Roethlisbger was the 11th pick. Aaron rogers was a late 1st rd pick.

There is no evidence to suggest we draft better just because we pick earlier. We drafted keith bulluck with the 30th pick.

I just think it is a losers mentality.

Could we please stop with this true fan BS? Rooting for a higher draft pick when the playoffs aren't happening doesn't mean you aren't a real fan.

Sure you point to some mid-late 1st round picks who worked out. But that's only telling half the story. We all know there are plenty of early 1st round picks who turned out great as well well as later picks who didn't work out.

And of course having an earlier pick doesn't mean you are going to necessarily draft "better". But common sense tells you that the earlier the pick the greater the options you have.

And when you are potentially going to be drafting a franchise QB I'd prefer to have the most available options possible. If one or two meaningless wins is the difference between getting the 1st or 2nd ranked QB versus getting the 3rd, 4th or 5th then give me the losses anyday. If our QB situation was settled and we were definitely going to be drafting another position then I'd probably just be rooting for wins right now. But QB is by far the most important position on the field. And if we are ever going to be a legit contender year after year then we need one of those elite QBs. If a couple extra losses in a wasted season is what it takes to (potentially) get one, then so be it. Well worth it IMO.

I'll take the losses to help finish Fisher. If a higher draft pick came with this though it dam* sure wouldn't be spent on Ryan Mallet

Nope, we wouldn't want a QB that's 6'7, has a cannon for an arm, completes 66% of his passes, and this year alone has 30 TDs and over 3500 yards.
