I'll give you that. He's had some untimely drops. I still think he's been a pretty productive TE though, and that he doesn't deserve to be called a "scrub"... whatever the hell that is...

No his numbers have gone down since peaking in 2008 when he had 58 catches. He needs 3 catches per game to equal last years total. Doubt he will do that.

Then there is the paltry 8.8 yard per catch average which is well below the nfl average for TEs which is around 10 ypc.

His career yards after the catch is 4.7 but this year it's 3.3 which suggests either a lack of effort or that he is losing some quickness.

On the positive side his catch rate this year is 69% which is better than average for him.

I don't think he is a terrible he is a decent to good possession type TE who is never going to demand anything above linebacker coverage.

1000 High Fives. Who gives a chit who "was wrong". It doesn't matter. The fact is we have a fractured locker room as a result of WHATEVER happened. They BOTH have to go to have any chance of getting it fixed.

Will you guys ever wake up and see that was Vince who throw himself
    out of this team??

He was the starting QB for this team at the beginning of this season!!!...for crying out loud!!! And he has been paid millions of dollars for each season he has been here (count 5).
Fisher have said and I quote "...clearly, the best chance for us to win
the game would be with Vince". See the movie from the NFL and fisher show nothing but support to Vince.
It was Vince that went to the sideline complaining about his thumb!!
Go to sideline with your injury, and you know your coach is gonna hear the opinion of the trainers!

Everything else... was Vince on a short leach?? Yes!!! Quite probably!! Then again, he should have spend his time on team meetings and on the practice field, instead of fighting in strip clubs...

Like Rich Eisen said: "I don't know anyone who leaves a team meeting with his boss and get's to keep his job"... Do you?

You guys got it wrong!! It was not Fisher that didn't like Vince, it was Vince that didn't like Fisher!

By not letting Vince back into the Redskins game, what Fisher did was essentially cut Vince's legs right out from under him. Vince claims he could have played, Fisher says otherwise. We know up to the Redskins game, Fisher jumped on every opportunity to sit Vince, and this obviously didn't bode well with the offense. Fisher now realizes shunning Vince was the wrong move, and is trying to clean up the mess he created by saying "last week he was “surprised” quarterback Vince Young hasn’t attended games or been around the team since being placed on injured reserve last month". Fisher knows he's done, and by claiming he's surprised is a bunch of crap. I love how every time the truth about Fisher comes out, that player ends up on another team. Bulluck went away, and Bo is surely on his way out too. Fisher is a bum without an excuse, he messed up royally.

It doesn't matter. The locker room is divided. They BOTH must go to attain unity.

I am just going to say this and then I am done with this conversation. At what point is Vince Young responsible for what Vince Young does? At what point do the missed team meetings, the missed off season work, the strip club fights, the shirtless dancing with drunk dudes while chugging patron, and leaving his house in manner that had his own mother worried enough to call Jeff Fisher become choices that Vince Young has made.

This guy has done nothing to show that he prepares the way he should to be an NFL quarterback. He has done nothing to prove he his mature enough to be an NFL quarterback. He there is no question that he isn't durable enough to be an NFL quarterback. There have been two separate reports that Young has wanted to quit on this team; once in the playoffs and in the season opener in 2008. There were also reports that he wanted to retire after his rookie season. Young is a quitter. He quits. Its what he does.

Even the biggest Young fan has to admit he's handled much of his career poorly. He's both mentally and emotionally immature. It's not arguable.

What he did in the locker room was wrong whether you think he was mistreated or not by Fisher. If he wanted to be the leader of the Titans, he'd been sitting outside of Fisher's office the next morning ready to apologize face-to-face and on the sidelines now showing support for his team. The way he's handled the situation since the blowup reinforces my feelings that Young will NEVER have the mental/emotional maturity needed to get the Titans to the next level.

Remember that Fisher was the guy looking for Young the night after he quit on the team in '08. He could have thrown him under the bus a number of times when Young had his diva moments. I'm sure Fisher feels betrayed because he invested so much in him and not seen the maturity he expected. Young still hasn't shown the dedication or leadership in YEAR FIVE. Young has done NOTHING to show he won't fold again next time he faces adversity. How can Fisher trust Young not knowing when his QB might have another meltdown?

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Having said all that, it's time to replace Fisher. Though it's very possible the Titans could do worse, I'm ready to take the risk. Back-to-back 0-6 stretches tell a lot about a coaches lack of effectiveness. Though the players share some of the blame, a coach needs to find answers and push whatever buttons are needed to get his team to execute. His approach seems stale. I don't have any faith Fisher can get this franchise back to being a contender. It's time to move on.

Problem is, with a strike looming (and Bud's position), it's very possible both will be here next season. If the strike gets settled by March, then all bets are off. But if it isn't settled until August (or later), it would be impossible to get a new coach in before the start of the season. In turn, Young actually gives the Titans the best opportunity to win because it'll be too late to bring in another QB or have a drafted QB ready to play.

Either way, 2011 will be another interesting season to be a Titans fan.

Personally, I agree with you that Vince is more at fault. IMO his immaturity makes him a bust. I don't ever see him "changing" like we hoped for during the past 5 years. I agree 100% that Vince Young quits when the going gets tough.

Additionally, Fisher hasn't done much lately. Is that due to the fact that he has been handcuffed by Bud's love for Vince? Doesn't matter. The locker room, fan base and probably even some of the coaching staff are sharply divided. I don't think the majority of the fan base is mature enough to realize this isn't a Fisher v. Young issue. Fisher is a good coach but not a great coach. He would have found a way to win a Super Bowl in the past 16 years if he was. That's long enough.

To bring everybody back together, Bud needs to lead and move both Fisher and Young out of the franchise. Use them both as a pariah and start fresh. Flush away any other team members that can't get with the new program and want to perpetuate the divisive drama.
