How much thought went into that one?

What would be the reason to cut Ringer and Mouton? They make little money. Do you have a shut down Cb to replace finny? A starting guard to replace Scott? Scott has played well for us in the past so just dump him?

For those of you who have lists of 8-10 players that should be cut can i assume you are Jeff Fisher supporters then?

I mean if we have that many worthless players on the team then you can hardly blame him for our record then right?

Not necessarily, because many people would argue that Fisher is the sole reason that several of those guys are on the field and starting, e.g. Gage

Gage has not really started since the Denver game.

I say get rid of the whole secondary. They are worthless along with Jeff Fisher's coaching. His soft zone defense is garbage.

Funny that on all these lists there is no mention of Jovan Haye a $4M a year guy who has done less than guys we get off the waiver wire. Last year Haye was asked to play at close to 300 lbs and it was supposed to be too heavy. this year at 275 he still has done little.

He is supposed to be a fast up the field type guy like Jason jones and we have seen none of that. Just an undersized guy who gets pushed around.

Haye had 6 sacks one year at Tampa Bay he has just .5 sacks over the last 3 seasons!

He will make a salary of $3M next year and $3.7M in 2012. Why pay that for a guy who does not do what we signed him for? We can do more with that money.

    Money cuts..

We talk about guys playing hard in a contract year just before free agency but what about guys who will be entering their final contract year and will be making a real nice salary? Isn't that also something to play hard for?

Salaries in the nfl appreciate so in that final year there is a nice pay day. That should be motivation for a player to prove his worth to stay on and make that money.

Chris Hope is making $6.5M this year and would make $7.5M next year. That's a pro bowl salary and his performance is not up to par.

Justin Gage will make $3.5M next year and keeps falling in the depth chart.

If we cut those 2 guys along with Haye we save $13M in salary. that's enough to sign a couple of pretty good players.

Needless to say we have a lot of over paid players on this team.

If you are implying that Finnegan is a shut down corner, you're dellusional. Jake Scott has had a lot of penalties this year and I never like any moves the Titans make that bring people from the Colts. Yea Ringer is cheap but you can find another cheap player that can do what he does better in the offseason. Right now Ringer is nothing but a situational player...3rd down or just giving CJ a breather if he breaks a long one. They made a mistake of getting rid of Lendale and now I bet they wish they had him back.
