Perhaps "blow up the team" is a bit hyperbolic, but sweeping changes ought to be made and several players and coaches should not be retained IMO.

Personally I'd like to see Fisher gone, but in the interest of avoiding redundancy, let's focus this thread on personnel outside of the Fisher/VY debate. Who do you think should be eliminated from the Titans' roster next year?

For starters, I think the following players/coaches should be dumped:

Bo Scaife, Chris Hope, Eugene Amano, Jake Scott, Chuck Cecil, Donnie Nickey

    Debatable/on the fence:

Kerry Collins, Cortland Finnegan, Randy Moss (can't believe I'm including those last two)

Clean house... with the exception of Jim Washburn.

Get rid of Scaife, Hope, Gage, and Amano. We have many expendable players, so there are a handfull of others I wouldn't mind parting ways with.

Randy Moss is already gone. No point including him as part of this team when he's clearly not.

Release Chris Hope, and not sign Bo Scaife.

I want to see more of Fernado Velasco the rest of the year, because Eugene AWOMANo clearly doesn't have what it takes to be our future Center.

As much as Finnegan has sucked this year, there is no way we get rid of him.

Other than that, I really don't see a need to blow up the team, because we are not in that bad of shape.

Let's see if Fish can get one of SS rookies in there for the rest of the season to let us know if we need to use a high draft pick on one this coming draft, because there is no hope in Hope.

Moss is a free agent and will not sign here, so he is gone. Collins is gone, he'll retire. Personally I think the entire coaching staff but Washburn should be gone. So after that, Gage, hope and Nickey are the first 3 that come to mind.

Basically, I'd go with the guys who look like they're done. Hope, Gage and Scaife are the first to come to mind. Cort's been way off, but he's still young, he can get back in it.

Let's start seeing some of our new blood now: why bother drafting guys if they're never going to play?

Realistically? Collins will probably be the only one that goes if the current coaching staff is still here. I could see Fisher axing Cecil, but I don't see a lot of cuts coming if we still have the same regime.

Also, I can't see us cutting too many players, not that their irreplaceable, but I can't imagine there will be many free agents that could come in to fill that many empty spots and make an immediate impact. I doubt Finny will go anywhere either.

If Fisher is fired (BIG if, Bud may not let him collect a payday without being the coach) It would shock me because if there really is a market out there for his services, Why wouldn't Bud/Reinfeldt trade him i.e. Gruden to Tampa in 2002.

I honestly think Fisher, VY, and the rest will be back in 2011.

However, If Fisher is let go I don't think the Titans will be able to keep many of their coaches, Maybe Cecil.. The rest will feel loyalty to Fisher who's shown loyalty to them throughout the years and he'd likely take them with him to build a new staff somewhere else (Most likely Houston, We'll see tomorrow night. MNF)

That means Washburn, Munch, Heimerdinger, everyone.

This will leave Bud in a situation where he has to replace the entire staff because whoever does take the job won't keep Cecil.

Big name coaches like Gruden, Cowher, Holmgren, ect, ect. will NOT take this job as none of them feel they have to take a hands on owner that will force them to make personel changes. Gruden has already been in this situation with Al Davis and none of these guys will want to feel like they're handcuffed with VY.

So you're looking at guys like Wade Phillips, Mike Singletary, John Fox, Brian Billick, ect, ect.

Unless, of course they hire a Coordinator like Rob Ryan, Marty Mornhinweg, ect, ect.

Personally, I see Bud hiring Wade Phillips if he fires Fisher. Bud LOVES to hire Texans and you can't get any more Texan then the son of Bum Phillips. I believe the firing of Fisher will end all of the playoff hopes any of the fans have. Atleast with 8-8 Fisher you know there could be a year of overachieving and backing into a Super Bowl then having someone like Wade Phillips that'll likely put this team into multiple 4-12 seasons.

If you see a coaching change, There will be alot of overhauling. Fisher sees promise in alot of players like Amano, Ringer, Rusty Smith, ect, ect where another coach may not and these players will get walking papers.

I think in Grudens first year in Tampa he changed something like 20-30 players from Dungy's team which is why I always laugh when people say Gruden won with Dungy's players because when push comes to shove, The reason that team won the Super Bowl was their defense and Sapp, Lynch, and Brooks were all Sam Wyche draft picks.
