I don't "consider" myself a fan, I know I am.. I'm not holding a candle because I'm not stupid enough to attack a player's intelligence when I know next to nothing about him but what is reported in the media.

The media is the only way we know the people. Not many people here know him personally. What are we supposed to think?

Either there is a mass media bias against VY, and numerous reporters put out blatant lies about him, which is illogical,

Or at least some of these stories are true, which tells me he is a crybaby.

I can see it being true, he has been a superstar and a winner his whole football career, probably since childhood. That gets to your head. When adversity is rare, it's a little more threatening. He can't handle it. There's little reason to believe that he is a stable person.

 

The irony is that I don't think VY had missed a pass at that point until the two wide misses in the end zone. In a business where TDs and W/Ls mean everything, you only remember the big plays, because, well, they win football games.

 

The media loves drama and all they know is what they are told by people like Jeff Fisher.

 

This is actually a good year for good coaches with Gruden, Cowher, and probably John Fox so yes I think they should fire Fisher and again what does it matter that he could have a job in 30 seconds that doesn't mean he is the best coach for this team. I think Fisher gets overrated because of his hard-nosed persona and his good relationship with the media. His lack of success in big games seems to be overlooked because of the length of his tenure with the Titans and the fact that the Titans are in a smaller media market. He has not made very good decisions in his last two years here and he does have the talent on this team to at least go to the playoffs.

 

Cowher is overrated with his one superbowl, so is Gruden. Just because you put it all together for one year does not make you a good coach today.

 

So because the media is the only way to know people we have to take their word for it? Do you understand what the media is? The media, and I'm not saying they're at fault, it's after all, their job; but the media needs news, stories, something that the public will be interested in, to make money. If you are in the sales business, it's equivalent to selling a product for commission. It is what it is, yes that's all you have to go on, but insulting a man's intelligence and consequentially who he is as a person based on that? Say he sucks, say he throws too many pics, say he's immature or not ready, but insult his intelligence? Retarded.
