See, in high society, we don't use personal attacks because they are childish and immature. I've never seen you post on this forum before so I'm guessing you don't know that there is a certain etiquette most people use.

Fire Fisher and we'll see our season turn around. We've got the talent.

The reason we've gotten worse over the course of the season is because we're being outcoached!!

I'm sure Cruds could beat Young in an IQ test. After all, no one likes a moron (cough cough).

Just because you consider yourself a fan of his doesn't mean any of his "success" has trickled down to you . What candle are you holding?

I'm still a Titan fan, probably always will be. But, I for sure won't be turning my back on a guy I've had faith in for a long time. I can read between the lines with Jeff Fisher, and a lot of other people do too. It's obvious he just doesnt like Vince. After all, it wasn't the QB he wanted to draft in 2006.

I hope Jeff showered after the game. I wouldn't want it to leave a bad taste in your mouth.

I've been reading much of the (admittedly typical) reaction after coming home from the game. I was at my usual place in club level on the 50 yard axis, west side. When Vince didn't return, for most of us in the section, it was a WTF moment. We had all watched VY get booed after one of the previous failed drives but I don't remember anyone around me doing it. VY was egging the crowd on to continue it, which maybe I thought might be a motivation for him. Fine, whatever.

Then the injury happened and the confusion on the sidelines was...well, confusing. They had to call a time out to discuss, then Rusty came out and VY disappeared off the locker room room for awhile. When he came back, he seemed like he was interested in getting back in it. He was first wearing a light glove but later ditched it as he was throwing some pitch and catch with Randy Moss. And he kept his helmet on until the overtime period where he replaced it with a baseball cap.

But I think the coaches already knew that VY's day was over when he came out. He was not the center of attention with the coaching for sideline meetings going forward. They had to know what the injury was and how a quarterback handles it, regardless of what VY was doing on the sidelines. Sometimes the smallest of injuries can have the biggest impact.

What happened next was inexcusable. I don't spend a lot of time here knocking players or coaches. Most of you have never played sports on a high level (pro or Div 1 college). Those of us who have know that there is a manner that you carry yourself to your team and others (like the press) regardless if you win or lose. I don't care frankly if Fisher correctly benched VY or not. The reaction all but ended his career here. If the injury really is a season ender, there is no way this franchise spends any kind of real money to keep VY after this season. What's amazing is that none of this was necessary.

I keep remembering the VY interview on "60 minutes" when he got here. Lots of swagger. Lots of attitude. And a loping gate that frustrated defenses early. But I saw signs that things might change quickly. I'm not close to Michael Griffin but I did get to spend an afternoon with him early in his career and one thing he did tell me was that as a defensive player, VY tended to be quite predictable before he took off and ran with the ball. We both knew that despite VY's early success running the ball that defenses would quickly figure him out and then how we he progress?

Again, we've all seen the meltdowns and implosions so there are no need for me to enumerate them here. I look at the Titans from an organizational management perspective. You have an owner who generally puts up a competitive club but isn't in the business of paying people "stupid money". You have a head coach who is generally well respected in the league but has never won the big one (but has been there once and the AFC title game a few times). You had a situation five years ago where the club had a choice of which QB to draft and at the end of the day, the Texas-based owner went with the Texas guy. That can be his call, its his team. But I never thought that Fisher was entirely happy about it and that's only gotten worse as time has gone on.

Blaine Bishop said on the radio today that he thinks VY tries too hard to have people like him. So when he gets criticism, either from the staff, the media or fans, he often reacts poorly. Some of the exaggerated or inappropriate reactions mellow with age and experience. But after today, it doesn't seem like it's happened enough with Vince. When you are a entertainer of any kind, there are going to be people who think you suck. Better get used to it...it's part of the business. VY never seemed to get used to it. I keep wondering how all of this would have played out if VY was at a media market that really crucifies its sports heroes, like New York or Philadelphia. The guy we played against today has the arrows in his back to prove what he's been through. But every says that McNabb is still a pro's pro. I doubt anyone is saying that about VY right now.

One final word. I still fail to understand the almost pathological venom I see on this board for Jeff Fisher. This is still a guy that would have a job in 30 seconds if we ever released him, and Mr. Adams knows that. The Cowboys would kill to have him (as well as a lot of other clubs). I keep coming back to "who would you replace him with, seriously?" Super Bowl winning coaches don't grow on trees. Or would you take a risk on an up and comer who might never pan out?

Have I been pissed at some of the play calling? Sure, but most people forget that playcalling isn't like playing Madden. One thing about Fisher is that his players play for that guy and usually he defends them in front of the media. The fact that this didn't happen today with VY demonstrates once and for all that the relationship is broken. And VY didn't help his cause by demonstrating in any measurable way that he was right and Fisher was wrong. Fisher is not usually the guy who ends on on Sports Center for something really stupid or outrageous he said.

Fisher has clearly had enough with the VY experiment, and if you listed to the local media talk about the personalities in the Titans front office, he's not alone.
