It's been a crazy season with all the ups and downs of many teams. There are not "done deals" as far as anyone on the schedule. I believe the Titans have to win the AFC South to get in.

The AFC is wide open and unfortunately we've now lost to several teams that will be in the wildcard mix (SD, PIT, MIA) with KC remaining in Dec at Arrowhead. KC will be a tough game and our slim wildcard chances would be killed with a loss there. Oddly enough this year our division is there for the taking, and would be much easier to take than a wildcard.

Colts are already 1-2 in the division with the following games left - @NE, SD, DAL, @TEN, JAC, @OAK, TEN. Those are some tough games - SD is getting back on track, who knows about the 'Boys but they sure smacked the Giants, Oakland is getting hot.

We've got to take care of our own business, but even if we split with the Colts and HOU but sweep the Jags (or split with Jags and sweep HOU) we have the division tie breaker and would only need to make up 1 game with IND. That leaves WAS and @KC as our key games. Bottom line is we have to either win those 2 or sweep 2 division teams. Then the Colts would need to do more than split even with NE, SD, DAL and OAK.

As it is now I see a 10-6 tie at the top of our division very probable, with a 4-2 division record within reach. IMO that puts the Titans in. 5-2 in our remaining games isn't a cakewalk but I don't think the Colts can go 5-2 down the stretch. We're tied with the Jags so we have to watch for them, too. They have CLE and @NYG coming up so we'll know more about them soon.

how sweet would it be if the Colts went 0-3, or even 1-2 in the next 3...Very possible too.

that's our only hope. either the jet/ravens/steelers have the wildcard spot locked up. I think its safe to say NE will win the east

We knock off the Colts and we don't have to worry about them.

^^ We hold our own destiny. Take care of the divisional games and were in. Fortunately, I feel confident that we are better than the Colts and Texans. We just gotta execute though. I still feel we're better than the Dolphins, Broncos, and San Diego. However I don't know if we're better than Philly.

Much different start then last season, I'll take our record this year.

Someone needs to put out an Amber Alert for the Titans linebackers and secondary. Sheese! It looked like Pop Warner out there as Miami kept driving and driving, and driving EASILY down the field. :grrr:

San Diego and Miami won't be in a wild card mix.

Just like with our division, the Chargers will have to be champs of the West to make the playoffs. The Dolphins just aren't making it. No way. If they made the playoffs that would mean either the Jets, Pats, Steelers, or Ravens would have to miss. That's not going to happen... and this is exactly why the only possible way the Titans can make it to postseason play is by winning the division.

The loss to the Steelers was costly. Not only would we be leading the South with a win against them, but we would be a game up on them with the tiebreaker.

Unless something big changes with the Colts or the Titans, then our Thursday night game against them makes or breaks our playoff chances. We lose to them here, and we're behind the 8 ball in week 17. Beat them, and don't lose more than 1 other division game, and we're in the playoffs.

    Thursday December 9, 2010/ 7:20pm:
    Colts (7-5) @ Titans (8-4)

If this scenario happens (which is what we're all hoping for), we would need a win that night... then just one more W in our final three games to win the division.
