The thing is- no one ever has an answer for what game DOES take skill.

Some say Halo. That's laughable. I never play halo, yet when I do- it seems too easy.

More or less that's it, as hand-eye coordination is the key to video games. I guess better strategies, better communication, and more practice would help.

I haven't played a video game (besides Madden) since January or February when I was still playing MW2 on and off.

Nuketown is the best map. Its mayhem.

Modern Warfare is the best FPS I have personally played, so I wasn't anticipating them being able to top it right away.

Learning the maps, intelligently accessing the map, adjusting to how people behave, make logical custom kits.

But overall, yeah, a player's ceiling in a game like COD is based mostly on their "twitch" abilities. Seeing someone before they see you and being more accurate than them. Some people aren't good at that.

I wouldn't call that skills, more like common sense.

MW games are meant to be fun/accessible and most people like it that way.

Just because they're accessible doesn't mean it doesn't require skill. There are plenty of players out there who possess high skills in the game. Learning a map isn't "common sense", because plenty of people have no idea how to approach choke points or how to adjust to the way opponents are playing.

Sure, some people just run around and like to shoot things. Other take the game very seriously, and their stats reflect it. I probably fall somewhere in the middle - don't have the time or desire it takes to get really good at the game, but I do like to learn the maps and try to adjust my play so I'm not completely dominated by players who are pretty damn skilled.

I don't really care for it.

Mostly because people keep voting it over and over so I have to play it 5 times in a row.

I like small maps due to the pace- but that one is a bit too simple. Just straight ahead.

I think if there's one thing I'd say Treyarch can't touch IW on- it's the creation of maps. All the maps in Black Ops are kind of bland.

This is true MW was just unreal at the time, but it still felt like they didn't make much of an effort on doing something new with MW2.
