So because you don't know the names of the players means they don't have good players or what? That point makes absolutely no sense.

I'll ask again, who did they sign other than Sabathia and Tex that's a big time player?

uhh... Alex Rodriguez, Jason Giambi, Granderson, Damon, Clemons, and every other player on the roster the past 15 years?

Well I meant the current team but either way you're still dead wrong. First off A Rod and Granderson were trades not free agent signings. Secondly Damon's deal wasn't what I would consider a "big free agent signing" but whatever. Thirdly I'll grant you Giambi however, his failure to live up to the contract was pretty much the last of the big time contracts NY was handing out and although contracts like his create the stereotype that you so blindly buy into that NY just buys all their players he was in fact the last of his type. And finally I don't know who "Clemons" is but I assume you're talking about Roger Clemens who was also a trade and not a free agent signing.

As for "every other player on their roster the past 15 years," more nonsense. Jeter, Posada, Pettitte, Rivera, Cano, Hughes, Williams and a ton of other guys are home grown. Sure moves like signing a guy like Sabathia to a contract help win championships but so does trading a worthless utility player like Wilson Betemit for a guy like Nick Swisher who went on to become an all star. People like yourself overlook the fact that NY has one of the best front offices in baseball who make smart moves unlike other teams with big budgets like the Mets and Cubs. Oh but I forgot, you can't name 4 players from the Cubs so that means the guys they spent a lot of money on aren't important.

Go back to trashing the SEC and Jeff Fisher you're in way over your head here.

I can't stand baseball. I loved playing it (which I did for about 8 years), but I cannot watch it. Chumps like A-Rod should not be making $28mil a year. CJ makes what $2.5mil this year and gets the **** beat out of him by guys who would break any MLB player in two while the hardest beating A-Rod takes is a shot of roids up the butt. I think we can all agree that CJ is more entertaining than A-Rod by a long shot. Compare the top 100 NFL players to the top 100 MLB players. Each of the NFL players are more athletic and more entertaining.

Winning 10 games in MLB is the equivalent of winning 1 in the NFL. One game has little value in MLB.

Best of 5/best of 7 (series) are silly. It takes an entire playoff series of baseball (with all the highlights/great plays combined) to even come close to matching the entertainment level of one playoff game in the NFL. Just play one freakin' game. Whoever wins advances.

Play half the games you play now. 162 is unbearable.

I watch highlights and elimination games once the playoffs come around. That is all.

You're in a serious state of denial if you're trying to convince people that the Yankees don't buy championships.

Not sure why you care- as long as they do so, they can be your favorite team! :)

AKA Thanks for schooling my @$$ in baseball. In reality I have no idea what I'm talking about so I'll just reiterate a boring NYY talking point and make it look like I won the argument.

    Deuce, just stop.

Why because they are down 1 game in a 7 game series?
