Anybody ever catch this? It was some short lived series on Starz i think? I found it by random accident for cheap. Bought season 1, vol 1 and 2. Volume 1 was really good. Volume 2 kinda sucked. Also got Volume 4 from Netflix, and the two episodes I've watched have been HORRIBLE. Still waiting on Volume 3.

Regardless, I highly recommend Season 1, Volume 1 on Netflix.

Edit: probably should mention, they are 1-hour stand alone "movies" by different known horror filmmakers.

I watch it on netflix sometimes. There are some gems, and there are some ABYSMAL ones.

    Ones to check out:

Incident on and off a mountain Road (Don Coscarelli)
    Deer Woman (John Landis)
    Pelts (Dario Argento)
    Cigarette Burns (John Carpenter)
    Jenifer (Dario Argento)
    The Fair Haired Child
    The Black Cat (Stuart Gordon)

    Alright, alright. I don't have a top ten list or anything, but these are some of my favorites;

    Rosemary's Baby
    El Orfanato
    Halloween
    The Descent
    Session 9
    Se7en
    The Changeling (George C. Scott)
    Pan's Labyrinth
    The Omen
    The Tale of Two Sisters

Can Se7en really be considered a horror?

It is a brutal, suspenseful, and fantastic movie, but I wouldn't put it under the horror genre.

I attempted to watch bits and pieces. It was painful.

The only thing I can remember is there was a part where "Free Bird" and Orlando Bloom came close to killing himself.

Wasn't he on a treadmill or something? Jessica Biel was in it, too (I think)...Oh hell, who am I kidding, I was going to town

If Jessica Biel was in it, I probably would've had a better time watching her than making out with my girlfriend at the time.

He was on something like a treadmill. I don't know the names of all those devices... something where he would run into a knife.

Okay... so Jessica Biel was in the movie... and Alec Baldwin.

I only remember Bloom, Dunst, Sarandon.

    Definition of a horror movie:

Horror films are movies that strive to elicit the emotions of fear, horror and terror from viewers.

Se7en does that. Would you put Silence of the Lambs in the horror genre? Most people would.

I think those two movies fall somewhere between horror and drama, its called "suspense"...but I hate sub-genres.

My favorite "WTF?" moment from Se7en...
Kevin Spacey gives the cops a half an hour to meet the delivery driver in the desert halfway between LA and Vegas. Keeping in mind these are NYC detectives..
