Vince usually throws the deep ball like that. He lobs them in to the receiver. He is very good at getting the ball over the coverage and into the receiver's hands. He just has really good touch on those deep throws. I've seen him gun it in enough to know that he could do it if he wanted to. His way is actually more effective most of the time because the DB usually doesn't have an angle to get to the ball. It is however more dangerous if there is safety help.

The pass to Washington wasn't as bad as you think. If you watch where washington caught it, he threw it out of bounds. So either Washington makes a play or it's an incomplete. It really wasn't all that dangerous. We don't know what was going on in his mind but we won the game and he didn't have a pick thanks to Jenkins sucking it up that game.

I usually respect your opinion, but in this case I think you're flat out wrong. If the DB has his back turned to you in the endzone and if you have any trust in your WR, then you put it up for your guy to go get.

I also like that people claim it's an errant throw because Young was looking at Scaife. Had it been Mark Sanchez they would be raving about how good he was at looking off the coverage.
We won't ever know for sure (unless Young comments on it), but I find it less likely that anyone throws an off target pass that just happens to hit another WR right in the gut.

Yeah he did, but imagine if he had Miles Austin and Roy Williams. Or Moss and Sidney Rice. All the great QBs can throw it up cause their receivers will get it.

Good for him. It wasn't the "smartest" pass, but it worked out in the end. A great WR makes catches like that. If he wouldn't have thrown it, it wouldn't have happened though. It's still 6 points.

That britt TD was like last weeks TD vs the Broncos or Giants I think it was the same play.
He look at him at the last second because that ball hit Britt right at the numbers.

I don't think luck had anything to do with either of the TD passes.

LOL @ the amount of hate this man Vince Young recieves! He throws a TD and people start questioning whether he meant to do it. Unbelievable. I can honestly say, I wouldn't care to be Vince Young at all. I'm with Scaife. He commented on how anytime Vince makes a mistake, it's a much bigger deal than it is when other QB's do. People are really hard on him. It's weird imo. He's a damn good player. He's not a great QB, but he wins games. Why are people still expecting him to dominate like he did in college? It's abundantly clear he is not going be that type of pro player. We can win with him. We have been. He threw the ball to Britt. Britt caught it. It was a TD. Why all this?

I only have one thing to say to all you cry babies! Vince had a passer rating over 95 and got the win! What more do you want????? I dont care what he does or how many bad throws he makes that should of been picked off, he WINS football games and he beat a damn good cowboys team. Get off his back :irked:

Lame post. He got unlucky on some passes (Britts PI would have been a TD bomb if he didn't get grabbed) and the passes he threw incomplete were usually of the 'no big deal' variety. The only pass he really got 'lucky' on was the dropped interception.

And how come when Randy Moss beats 2 guys in the endzone its Sportscenter time, but when Nate Washington does it its a bad pass that you don't want to see more of? I'll take all the receiver bail outs I can get. Find me a good QB who doesn't occasionally have the confidence in his guy to toss it up in the end zone and let him make a play... you can't. I love what I'm seeing out of the Britt/Washington 1-2 punch we have at wideout. We know what we have with VY and CJ and the TEs. Those two, in my opinion, are the X Factors of this offense.

Probably because the passes to Moss don't almost hit the scoreboard.

He threw it off his backfoot, high in the air, with two defenders around.
