OK, we got that. Unfortunately, that statistic isn't the homerun post you think it is man. It just proves what we all know.

Jeff called a good game for three quarters and had us in position to win the game. Then when it was clutch time in the 4th quarter he tucked his damn tail and shut off our offense. Completely abandoned the gameplan that got us the lead (58% passing) and decided to run the ball right into Brett Kerns foot until Denver had enough possessions to win. Good teams attack the jugular and put crappy teams away at home. Jeff Fisher hopes he can get lucky and run the clock out with a 4 point lead. Moronic 4th quarter play calling cost us this game

the play was devastating. I don't hate Mariani for the play but it cost us the game more than any other play..

Incapable... perhaps. Too dumb, definitely. Maybe he's Bud Adams in disguise :)

Mariani made a huge mistake and a huge play. If he didn't score then think about this, our offense put up 13 points against a defense that's been averaging 22 points a game against them.

You don't know what you are talking about. Our first series in the 4th quarter was a 3 and out and 2 of the plays were pass plays.

Then we got the ball with 4 minutes to go deep in our own territory and a 3 point lead. Do you honestly think that was the time to throw the ball around? We got a first down on that drive but it was out of bounds and stopped the clock. We desperately need to keep our defense off the field.

And then we had them with a 2nd and 25 a good chance for a stop considering almost all their passing game was inside of 12 yards but Hope basically gave them a TD.

Then we would have had the ball at the 35 with 1:30 left and 2 time outs but Mariani fumbled the ball. After that the game was over.

    Please.....

The CJ turnover was a terrible call, the missed FG unfortunate.

The Defence however was just relentless and helped us overcome the wasted possessions.

After those two drives we seemed to be using the pass to set up the run.
Mariani's return gave us a breather when Denver were steadily eating away at us.

Once we were in the 3rd qtr with the lead the defence dialled down the pressure and we reverted to short passes and runs up the middle.

We became 3 and out specialists who left it to the Defence to hold on.

When we held them on 4th down and started on our own 4 we ran 4 running plays and on 3rd and 11 tried to pass. VY had no protection and had to throw it away to avoid a sack.

Just comparing the number of running plays to passing plays does not reveal the full picture.

Once again we got out coached in the second half.

The players are not to blame. Sure Britt could have caught those hail marys but when his primary role is to be a blocker it's understandable that he wasn't ready to make the big plays.

Maybe that's why our WR have always struggled. They only get oportunities when we're in desparation mode.

You're deliberately scewing the facts. The interesting numbers are from we scored the FG to get up by 4 and up until our desperation drive at the end.

In that period we called 7 runs and 4 passes. And the passes were on the following downs 3rd & 6, 2nd & 14, 3rd & 4, 3rd & 11. THAT is Fisherball in a nutshell and it does NOT win games.

No but it defies the typical Bs about us being a super conservative team. CJ averaged 25 carries a game coming in and had 19 carries today.

I'm counting 11 plays now in the 4th quarter and 7 were passing plays. How is that super conservative? The mix would be even more dramatic had Mariani not fumbled the ball and we had a chance for a 2 minute drill with 1:30 left.

I get it, we passed more than we ran, but it's WHEN we passed and WHEN we ran which was stupid. And the guy who got us the big run, got 2 carries. So much for having a change of pace back, Fisher's clearly not interested in that. His goal is to force CJ to score and shorten his career as much as possible.

They called a damn prevent on 2nd and 25. Even if that PI didn't get called they probably could have got 15 yards between the numbers. Thing is, unlike us, some teams take shots when they want a W.
