Yea those are my main gripes. Pass defense sucks, too many injuries, and broken tackles suck. So good job EA for addressing problems tat should have been fixed before the game was released. I have a solution, say it with me EA, "Game Testers".

Played my first game in probably a month to see if it was as bad as I remember. It was.

This game is unplayable right now. In one game Chris Johnson, Bo Scaife and Vince Young were hurt for three quarters of it(all at the same time). I threw an interception because of the random one pass that goes over the guy's head by 10 feet and fumbled four times(lost three).

Somehow I managed to win 17-14.

    Gamestop indeed.

Another thing that has driven me apechit since Madden came to the PS3: you cannot sack the QB without him throwing the ball into the back of an offensive lineman. It's intentional grounding everytime... I beat the tackle, get pressure, and as soon as I hit him he just throws it into the dirt pretty much and its incomplete instead of a sack. They been pulling that crap forever, just another way the computer cheats, another issue I hoped would be resloved. The only thing they 'fixed' was the kicking, which was completely fine how it was. And I looked at that link, its laughable to me. "Heres a list of some of the things we realized need to be fixed: the whole game"

How about testing your piece of crap product before you release it? It's clear to me that Madden doesn't want to become a great game or fix issues that plague the franchise. Instead of properly testing and fine tuning the game before they release it they just send out a shrink wrapped turd and release a patch to try and address the most common points of complaint. They just want to feed off of the people who buy the game religiously because they love football. Well I'm not one of those people anymore.

    Arkham Asylum is DOPE btw.

Just a little longer until 2K gets a chance to join the competition. Then we will have a real football game. I hate the fact that EA's animations take away from a play. I press a button to throw the ball and my guy will get sacked. My QB could have gotten the ball off but EAs animation engine kicked in.

I want Sony to make an NFL game. I have a PS3, so I won't mind if it's an exclusive. If they can make a football game as awesome and realistic as The Show then I'd be a happy camper, forking over $130 annually

Roster update is coming Thursday or Friday. I'm going to miss Blount, such a goal-line force! His stiff-arm was amazing... Oh well, atleast I'll be able to play with Donnie Nickey still.

Test? Why would they waste time and money on testing when WE pay THEM to be the game testers? :ha: Every year it's the same thing...
    1. EA releases a half-assed Madden game.
    2. We foolishly fork over $60 a pop.
    3. We complain about the myriad of inexcusable issues with the game.
    4. EA releases a patch that is typically too little too late, but enough to shut up a good portion of the complainers.
    5. Rinse.
    6. Repeat.

BTW, I was having the same problem you were with the magic QB throwaway until I started really messing around with sliders. Now I have it at a point where it (and the game in general) is a bit more realistic:
    -All-Pro difficulty
-ALL CPU skill sliders set to 100 except,
    *Pass blocking= 80
    *Run blocking= 75
    *Broken tackles= 35

Of course we shouldn't have to be tweaking sliders to "fix" the game but it is what it is. And this obviously won't help the online game one bit but it makes offline franchise mode A LOT more tolerable IMO.

I play with the above settings on 9 minute quarters with 20 second runoff and I've been getting very realistic final scores. I even lost a couple games.
