I cannot believe I'm saying this, but Jesse just hit the nail on the head here.

The question wasn't if he is capable of doing it. We all know he can do it, but he won't... at least not this season. The only way it ever happens is if our receivers are absolutely horrible (as in losing Scaife, Britt, and Gage) and we have no one else to throw to. But, you can't expect someone to get 300+ carries and 75 receptions in one season without getting hurt.

0% chance CJ gets 1000 receiving yards this season.

Tomlinson 313 carries and 100 receptions in 2003 and miraculously didn't make the pro bowl.

1100 to 1400 yards. Anyways, there's way to much CJ talk again. It is a quarterbacks game so why doesn't get Vince more attention? Or a guy who really really deserves more attention, Cortland Finnegan!

Questions that are way more important than CJ yards... Are we (Vince) able to improve our passing yards? Top defenses will be ready and prepared for CJ. Are we able to split the carries to surprise them? Less carries for CJ means less yards for him by the way....

How good is our defense with all the young guys? In my oppinion this will be the year to regroup. I hope the Titans make the playoffs of course but it's just a bonus. I wish CJ would be more helpful with the regrouping mission but it seems he's to busy running his own show 'how do i become the best paid offense player in history who never won a playoff game'?

    It's just my oppinion!

That's lame... Even with Priest Holmes, Jamal Lewis, and Clinton Portis in their prime, he still should've made it over at least one of those guys.

I was probably overaggerating for emphasis. Like JC said, if anyone can do it, it'd be CJ.

I just don't see how it could happen with our style of offense. The most yards VY has thrown for in a single season was 2,546. I think we all know Vince will likely be a 2,500-3,000 yard QB for the next couple seasons. I don't see him breaking 3,000 anytime soon... So, over a third of his passing yards would be going to CJ. That's a big reason why I don't see it happening.

If in a full season Vince can't pass for over 3000-yards, he can go when his contract is up. With the attention C.J. will get in 2010, Vince should be able to throw for well over 200-yards a game without even trying. The box will be packed at times, Vince better see this and open up the play-action, and burn these defenses.

I think most of us will agree with you JC, every D we face is gonna try to clamp down on CJ because they don't wanna be the ones who get burnt for record-breaking rushing yards and scores by the baddest RB in the league. They will definitely be stacking the box and this is where VY has got to sharpen his QB IQ. He's gotta take full advantage of this, and hit his WRs and TEs when we know they're gonna try to buckle down and play the run.

Just the threat of having CJ needs to do wonders for our passing game. And let's not forget that VY has a pretty good set of wheels on him too. I disagree with JC when he says that VY won't have a 3,000 yard passing season though. I see VY having a career year. Both passing and rushing. The sky's the limit for this team.

^Check that post closely. You said I said "that VY won't have a 3,000 yard passing season".

    I never said that....
