Does the TV lie? I met Michael Tuner of the Falcons yesterday, and on TV he looks huge, but in person he wasn't big at all. I'm 5 "11" 175 lbs and he didn't look too much bigger than me.

I also remember meeting, Albert Haynesworth and saying to myself "wow, i thought he would be way bigger than that in person."

But, the mind blowing "wow" of them all, had to be Warren Sapp. I remember when we played the Bucs in the 03-04 season and thinking "why the hell is Sapp so dominating to be so small' I swear if you guys saw Sapp in person, you would be amazed at how small he really is.

Have you guys actually seen a NFL player that looks huge on TV and also in person :)

Turner is 5'10" I think. Sapp is barely bigger than that, but does break the 6 foot mark. If anyone ever trusts whats on paper then they're kidding themselves. Players shrink in person lol.

I remember meeting Haynesworth too. He was surprisingly small without pads on. Vandenbosch actually made more of an impression on me, because he was just plain ripped. Haynesworth looked just a little taller than me and not nearly as big as I expected.

Ran into Ray Lewis in Vegas 2 years ago.

I was amazed to see one of my taller friends towering over him. That said, Ray's arms may have been the biggest I've ever seen. His upper body is ridiculously ripped.

Also saw Finnegan at a bar in Nashville. Wouldn't have known if a friend hadn't pointed him out. Finny is crazy small.

Don't mistake small for weak. I think if you saw these guys running or lifting weights in person, you would have the opposite effect. You would be surprised at just how quick and powerful they are.

Yea you can't see strength or speed. Certain guys carry their weight different. Even if Ray looks shorter in person you still wouldn't want to piss him off.

I can agree that Finnegan is crazy small.

I'm always surprised that I'm taller than most NFL players, but I still wouldn't say that they seem small. Most of them are pretty bulky guys.

Roy Williams (Cowboys WR) came to a Texas-Texas Tech game here in Lubbock a few years back and this dude was way bigger than what he looked like on TV. He looks pretty tall on TV but was even bigger in person. Was cool as hell too. He came through the Tech tailgating section and even drank a beer with us. He reeked of reefer and his eyes were totally bloodshot. But he was definitely bigger than what he looks like on TV.
