PS3's constant updates that are needed yet their DL rates are slow as Christmas is one issue. And the online seems like a ghost-town.

It's just better. You'd have to play both to notice, I suppose. Or play XBL for a while then try PS3.

It's free for a reason. And it's a good deal as free...

I'm constantly disconnected when going wireless. Though I can't complain much because the wireless is built in- it just isn't very good.

I'd say you'd be perfectly happy with either if you just chose one. But I doubt you'd be happier with ps3 if you started out on 360.

I simply disagree. I've played both. Hell, I owned a 360 for about 6 months when their first party games actually warranted attention. I still play when I'm visiting a friend.

I just feel it's perpetuating a myth when dogging PS3 online performance. Lobbies aren't ghost-towns, connectivity is only as good as your modem/router/service, and updates take maybe 3-5 minutes maximum (those are rare in-and-of itself). I hard-lined my PS3 to my router, and I only experience issues when my internet itself is funky.

The only time's I notice some slow times is if there is some sort of high-value demo or if my girlfriend wants to rent a video (to download an HD video, it takes about 20 minutes to download). Even then, we can go do something else.

I need someone to actually show me some sort of performance comparison of both networks, because there I find no conclusive evidence that one is significantly better.

The irony here is that I suffer no lag on PS3 (don't play LIVE) and when I put my 360 back online recently (with Silver) it took me about 10 goes to get the updates to actually download and work.

I have no problems with online on PS3, but I only use it infrequently.

Anyone play RDR online yet? I really enjoy UC2's online (as much as the game itself) so wanted to get opinions from those who have played both.

I haven't had the chance to play online as I'm still waiting for the PS3 version of the game, but the free-roam mode looks like fun.

Seriously dude, stop being such a tool and start playing the actual games. People like you miss a lot of good games out there because they like one piece of plastic better than the other.

It's fantastic in theory (free roam mode is great - it's essentially the online lobby, except you can form "posses" with up to I believe 16 users and roam the single player game world and do most of the activities you'd find in single player i.e. more expansive hunting challenges, gang hideouts, bounties, etc.

There are also a variety of game modes like team death-match, domination, capture the flag, etc. etc. In June, there will also be free DLC that pertains to Co-op online missions that you can play with friends or strangers. All cool stuff.

However, the servers are quite flunky right now (just like GTA IV was initially). I've heard reports that it's a glitch-fest for some, at worst it's unplayable. I've only been online about 4-5 times, and it's fun, but I never got into a posse I really liked. I'll play it a lot more when I actually beat the game.

Sorry Jeff, to answer your question, Uncharted 2's multi-player I'd say is more polished and playable at this point, but give it a month and RDR might have it beat. Rockstar has said that extensive patches are on the way, along with the DLC.

Yes. I am a tool for saying the 360 is better than the PS3. Logical.

I've played the games before. Nothing that I've played has impressed me enough to think the PS3 is worth purchasing. And all multi-platform games (ones that are on 360 and PS3) are always better on the 360. You can go check reviews. It's true.

You're just making **** up now, friend. The only 3rd party game in recent memory that is CLEARLY better for 360 is Bayonetta. Everything else is the same game. You're nuts if you think otherwise.

Many reviews point to the 360's graphics being better on most games, but I haven't done enough research or anything. I'm sure there's not a noticeable difference between the games. It's probably just my strong preference for 360 doing the talking. I've never heard of Bayonetta.
