imo i think we are done signing people for a while. time to weed out the bunch we have now.

  2. He's a 3-4 OLB. We wouldn't get value using him as a 4-3 DE (though I suspect he could be a pass rush specialist).

Plus, he's going to be 33 when the season starts, so he's not as much of a threat as he used to be.

I agree with the fact that he won't be useful here, where would he fit in at? Reliable depth? I just dont see him being that much beneficial to our line-baking core at this point in his career. If NE couldnt use him in a 3-4 that he thrives in then we certainly couldnt use his services in our traditional 4-3. I do agree with the original post however in the sense that there are a couple of older guys recently introduced to FA that we should bring in for a visit.

Would I look at him? Yes.

Would I like to work him out at LB and see what he has left and see if it fits our scheme? Yes.

I think there is zero chance he'll come here though he could take over Thornton's spot at the SAM and be good in coverage...but he's old too. If Thornton can play, he'll stay for vet presence and depth if nothing else while Curran and McRath fight for a starting spot.

Would still prefer to see KB signed...even if it's short term. I don't know if Thornton will be healthy and able to play and I don't want our only options at LB to be Curran, Tulloch, McRath cuz we don't have anyone else (much like our CB sit after we lost our starters). Of course, that is our likely immediate future, but I want the players to EARN the spot, not be handed it because of a lack of options...

People really need to stop suggesting that the Titans go after 3-4 OLBs. It's a position that the Titans don't even use.

The people who want Thomas are probably the same ones who were pushing for the Titans to draft Kindle. It's not gonna happen, folks.

wasnt t.laboy a 3-4 OLB/ DE type player???? correct me if im wrong

and for the record i wasnt sayin we must sign him or freakin out, just thought maybe he could be a pass rush specialist for us. wonder if he could be a real cheap pickup? the team could've used a bit of pressure on the QB last year, if i recall correctly ;)

He plays a lot with his hands down, and he wasn't happy in NE because they weren't using him to just rush the passer. He'd make a good 4-3 DE and would probably prefer that.

That's my biggest issue with him. Depending on how confident we are with Morgan/Hayes/Ford he might be worth a look, but for the price and the future I don't see him as a good fit in TN.

I would like it if we could resign Bullock and let McGrath and Currian develop for a couple of years.
