As someone who is a high school football coach I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt there is NOT one person on this board who could coach this team better then Fisher. You guys are off of your rocker if you think otherwise!

Yes you have an OC, DC, and Special Teams coordinator but the head coach needs to know everything that is going on. You may not agree with every play call or every decision that he has made but you could not have done better. Is it is his fault when we fumbled the ball away against the ratbirds, or when bennett dropped the pass on 4th down against the pats in the playoffs, or when dyson was stopped 1 yard short. NO!

As much as I bash Fisher I'll always admit he's a top notch coach August-December, but come playoffs the man is too predictable and stale. He's just now realizing that, and maybe will be able to win a game in January. Fisher manages his club well, very well actually. He knows the business side, and more important the football side. He usually handles his players appropriately (minus LenDale), and deals with outsiders how he sees fit (Fisher-speak). He is ahead of most of the league most days. I however HATE & DESPISE his lack of creativity. God forbid he featured a package for Vince during his backup days. And God only knows why he keeps starting Collins when he was the reason we kept losing. I like Fisher, but wouldn't shed a tear if he was canned for me to step in and run the show. I'm critical of Fisher because he's ruining my good team, if he would do away with his "4-minute offense" all game theory I'd like him more.

Threads like this do serve a purpose. They consistently reaffirm who can have a knowledgeable football conversation with and who to ignore.

I have no delusions that I could outcoach Fisher, absolutely not. I do think though, at the NFL level, that head coaches can get way too much credit for their team's play, whether good or bad.

Its like what my head coach in basketball used to tell us. If we win, it's our win. If we lose, it's his loss.
