I think Graham is a much more polished player with a great motor and very good set of skills. The difference with him and JPP is JPP's potential is almost endless. He has freakish physical abilities, incredible size and shows a great motor too.

If you can get the most out of him, he could easily be one of the greatest DE's we've ever seen in tennessee. He could definitely be the next Jevon Kearse, the only problem is that's all potential and no one's really sure what he's gonna be. He's so enticing to teams like us because of our history of needing athletic DE's and our ability to coach them up.

I consider the 'coveting' of JPP a pure smokescreen to get teams above us to pull the trigger. (Raiders, Jaguars) I mean if we like him; he's got to be good.
I also think coming out publicly and saying we like Graham is another smokescreen intended to try and incite teams below us to trade up with us or above us. (Atlanta, NE)

Sadly I think the only guys we really want at DE in the first are Morgan and Griffin. I'm hoping the only one remaining when we pick is Griffin so that we decide to look for value at other positions with our first pick.

If you're right about the smokescreen that'd be great. I don't want either guy really, so I'd like another team to jump the gun on them. Morgan is about the only DE I'd take at our spot. Graham and JPP would be so-so picks, and Griffin would be terrible.

No NFL team is going to pick a guy because the Titans leaked a rumor they like the guy if the team drafts in front of us. That is ridiculous. Put the shoe on the other foot. Do you think the Titans are listening for rumors about what other teams like and are going to make their decision based on that? I can't imagine MR in the back room saying "wow we better get this so and so player because so and so team really likes him". It is just as ridiculous that the GM for the Jags is going to pull the trigger on a particular DE just because the Titans like him. If the Jags pick JPP it will be because they think he is the best choice for them and for no other reason than that. What the Titans think is totally irrelevant.

Now I agree if a team strongly thinks another team covets a particular player that a team might try and leap frog them to get that player before they do. Still I don't think a team would make that determination based on leaks or hear say. They would base it on the team needs and what style of player they think the Titans would go after but keep in mind their evaluation of the said player would still be their own and have nothing to do with leaks from the Titans. They would have to be confident the player was right for them.

Some of you act like the titans are the only team that has ever had draft picks not work out. Dur dur dur chris henry, paul williams etc.... Yeah every other team sure is batting 1000 on draft picks. The draft is an educated guess. Hard to argue with their track record because the Titans have won a lot more games than a lot of other teams.

Was being facetious regarding the 'if the Titans like him' comment. Any comment with the mention of the Raiders a few words prior can't be taken seriously. Thought it was pretty evident but I guess not. :)
I will say that our 'draft leaks' are 'draft leaks' for a designed purpose; to induce teams above or below to make a move. There are no such thing as 'leaks' with our organization and their pawn; The Tennessean. Did we ever come out publicly and say, yeah we like Pacman, yeah we like Vince Young, yeah we like Michael Griffin, yeah we like CJ, yeah we like Kenny Britt? There might have been educated guesses, speculation, and questions, but always very vague answers if all. Who we talk about the most is not who we're going to draft. I can promise you that and if you want to make a gameroom cash wager on it; I'll be more than happy to oblige. We are not drafting JPP or Graham based on intuition and a probably unhealthy amount of time analyzing historics and trends. If you think otherwise; let's have fun and bet on it.

    future titans

look personally i like graham the most out of the DE's he has a great motor and is a proven player. maybe not the next jared allen or peppers but still a very solid possibly pro-bowl DE. But if we draft JPP is their gonna be a big divide in the titans fans? i mean no matter if we like the player or not the pick is gonna be a titan and if he starts that means that we have seen potential in him. the fact is no one knows who the best DE in the draft is until they step foot on the field and play some NFL downs but we should support any decision a titan is a titan.....except for Nick Harper......i hate him.

I'm with Blue23, if anything this is a smokescreen. You can't believe anything you read this close to the draft. Banks must be real hard up for a story or doing Fisher a favor by "leaking" this insider information out on SI.

    This story is bogus.

I agree, can't see any team showing their hand this close to draft day.
