Find one out of the box like the Mac one that doesn't boot.

    Probably wont happen.

But anyway... the easiest and most accurate thing to say is: Computers suck.

It just kills me that Mac fanboys are pretentious enough to act like Macs don't suck equally. They do.

So... I side with bang for buck always. Spend as much on a PC as you do a Mac, and you'll have about 2x's the system. Maybe you have to spend 40 minutes every year reformatting it.... that's not much of a big deal considering the Mac you buy will need to be replaced in 4 years anyway to keep up.

  5. The key for Macs is that when they really do have problems (and it does happen sometimes, just less than with a Windows PC), Apple is far better about actually fixing the problem than PC companies. That's why their tech support is rated so high.

For one, you don't get the runaround of Dell blaming Microsoft and then Microsoft blaming Dell. Apple makes the hardware and the software.

And if I have a Mac problem, I can get an appointment at the local Apple store. Where's the Dell store? Or the HP store?

That has not been my experience - and that's what I'm basing my opinion on...

  7. As someone who has used both and supported users of both for years, I can unequivocally say that Macs definitely don't suck as much as PCs. They can all have problems, but life with a Mac is generally less annoying than life with Windows...

yes Duece , Apple is not without it's faults
most recently, the new 27" iMacs have had high levels of yellow tinging despite the use of high quality IPS panels
    it happens

yes, they're overpriced for what they give you
yes, they're usually a step behind i technology

yet, forum after forum are running amuck at rumors of the next Macbook Pro and Mac Pro updates (which are rumored to happen tomorrow)

if they sucked sooooo much, why are people waiting in line to pay for an overpriced POS ?

No, what you implied was that there are "tons of" mac tech help forums and none of Windows. One of the reasons I chose the Mac is simply because I found the EXACT OPPOSITE... there were very few mac help sites; by contrast, every site I visited within my field had a subforum on fixing Windows problems. There's Microsoft help, which is both questionable and expensive, and there is user help provided on private subforums everywhere. Your claim is silly and baseless, ergo MADE UP.

Now then, as an example, I spend a LOT of time on a private music engineering forum. When I joined, I was the only Mac/Logic user. I took a lot of crap about it. Now it's about 60% Mac, as 60% of them actually researched and made the switch. The tech help desk is still there, and there are still no topics relating to help for Apple or Mac barring getting Windows to recognize anything related to them.

Now if you actually research those Mac heklp sites that you claim to know all about, you will find the number of entries considerably smaller, and like with all tech issues, you will find a large number of adolescent dorks who sound exactly like you... you know, the kind who say their band demo sounds like crap because "Cakewalk sucks!!" instead of recognizing their considerable lack of talent or experience and expertise. Notice that 'expertise' and 'experience' start with the same letters.... you have repeatedly stated that your 'expertise' comes from no 'experience'... that is oxymoronic.

Frankly, I don't care whether anybody recognises one as better than the other... hell, I even said myself that Windows 7 might actually have it right for once. What I DO object to is the spouting of blatant ignorance, especially when it's entire context is little more than attention-seeking behavior.
