Alabama has played VT the last 2 years, and has a home and home with Penn State beginning next year. Georgia played OK State this season and AZ state. South Carolina plays Clemson every year. UT played UCLA and typically has a Pac 10 team on their schedule, etc etc. In fact, every SEC team with the exception of Ole Miss had at least one out of conference game against a team from another BCS conference. Granted, some of those games arent overly impressive, like the Louisville-Kentucky rivarly, but this idea that the SEC teams play nobody out of conference isnt accurate.

And ETA, both Auburn and Arkansas have had home/home with USC this past decade.

Some of those games aren't overly impressive? Just about all of those games aren't overly impressive. VT is fine and OK States not bad but really your giving me Clemson, UCLA and Arizona State? And as I recall UCLA beat you guys twice. As for USC playing Auburn and Arkansas twice do you really want to bring that up seeing as how USC outscored them 167-48 in those 4 games? But your right, the SEC is in no way overrated.

Why's that funny? They made a BCS game, you didn't. And we also play Penn State. Besides before Saban got to Alabama playing them wasn't exactly a tough task and I doubt playing Florida will be now that Tebow and their entire defense is gone.

Of course its not overly impressive to you, but I imagine if they played NFL teams you would have a way to discount it. The fact of that matter is, is that the SEC teams play just as many quality out of conference games as any other teams, for the most part. Most of your top tier teams play 3 mediocre games, and one legit out of conference game. There are exceptions of course, but the SEC teams in general stack up well in their out of conference games, whether you want to acknowledge that or not.

And of course I want to bring up Arkansas, Auburn, and USC. Your point was that SEC teams didnt play anybody out of conference. Obviously you were wrong. I never claimed Arkansas played them well, but you certainly cant deny they scheduled them. If OSU gets credit for scheduling USC, then so does Arkansas and Auburn. You have a habit of changing the parameters of your arguments Ive noticed, when somebody corrects something you said. Thats pretty weak.

And, I am not a UT fan, so dont make assumptions and refer to UT as "you" guys when referring to me.

Couple years ago yea Arkansas and Auburn played USC but the original point of this argument isn't who do teams play out of conference it's that Erik, Gloat and I believe the SEC is overrated and seeing USC destroy two of your middle tier teams doesn't do your conference any good.

But please tell us, who are you a fan of.

Wow, if a conference's major player beating up on another conferences middle of the pack teams is an indication of the overall strength, why in the hell are we still having this conversation when the SEC is winning championships left and right? Nice way to fall assbackwards into that Eddy.

    I am a FLorida fan.

Does having your top team combine for 18 points on USC over a 2 year stretch (one game against a very mediocre USC team), do OSU or that conference in general any good? Or is that somehow different? Just curious.

And I have no issues with you thinking the SEC is over rated. I just dont understand why you have to make stuff up to prove that point. The SEC teams do play tough out of conference games in general (as much as any other conference anyway), so using that as part of your argument simply isnt accurate. If you want to argue the SEC is over rated, at least be intellectually honest when making your points.

It's not an indication of the conferences overall strength but if the SEC truly is the best conference and is in no way overrated you'd think a middle of the pack SEC team could keep USC from scoring 70, guess not.

And since when is the "SEC" winning championships? There you go again living vicariously through other teams in your conference to make Tennessee look better when it doesn't.

To be fair the 2nd game was very close so it's deceiving to say we combined for 18 points and not point that out. But yea it did look bad didn't you watch ESPN? Everyone that could slam the Big 10 did and the conference deserved it, we looked bad but this past season we took a big step in the right direction and for what it's worth I'd say were the 2nd best conference in both football and basketball.

I find it funny you have no issue with me thinking the SEC being overrated but the UT fans do. Reason is, you don't need to live through other teams success. But I'm sorry, Auburn and Arkansas playing USC and a few games vs. Virginia Tech isn't the same as "SEC teams playing tough out of conference games." And yea Tennessee is scheduled to play someone good in 10 years but the year OSU had to play Washington we were supposed to play VT but didn't so I'll believe it when I see it.

Dude the whole premise of this thread and the dozen replicate threads, is that the SEC is scheduling weak games out of conference, thereby getting easy bids to bowl games and eventually getting an autobid to the championship if the SEC winner is undefeated.

So, then you go and state that the SEC is hurt when MIDDLE OF THE PACK TEAMS lose to top tier programs from other conferences, yet the reciprocal (SEC dominant teams destroying other conferences' average teams) DOES NOT make that other conference inferior. Amazing logic. End of discussion sir you just talk in circles and when your logic is flawed you move to another topic about Tennessee and other teams' fans etc etc.

The second game was close, but OSU's offense looked terrible, and this was the worst USC team in recent memory. Not to mention it was at OSU. So while yes, it was a close game, OSU still was not the least bit impressive.

And I have pointed out that Bama has Penn STate coming up, Florida has Miami coming up in a few years. Coincidently OSUs big out of conference game the next 2 years is Miami, and then after that it is Cal. UT has played Cal recently and also has Oregon next year. With all due respect, you just dont pay attention to the teams the SEC teams play, it is not much different than any other BCS conference in that regard.
