So I did a little bit of research to see how compensatory picks are given, I knew it had to do with FAs lost but didn't know the selection of what round the team was given.

Basically it depends on how many free agents were lost and how many were gained. Then it depends on a formula based on the player's salary, playing time, and postseason honors with his new team, with salary being the primary factor. Max of 4 picks per team.

So here is who we lost - new team - their salary - playing time:
    Chris Simms - Broncos - 2yr/6mil - Appeared in 3 games
    Brandon Jones - 49ers - 5yr/16.5mil - 8 Games (1Catch)*
    Daniel Loper - Lions - 1yr/?? - 8 Games
    Albert Haynesworth - Redskins - 7yr/100mil - 12 Games*
    Chris Carr - Ravens - 2yr/5mil - 16 Games
    Eric King - Lions - 1yr/1.6Mil - 4 Games
    *= Player was injured

The only main players we signed: Nate Washington, Jovan Haye, Mark Jones, DeMarcus Faggins.

The way I look at it we'll get a 3rd for Big-Al. 4th/5th from Brandon Jones. 5th/6th from Chris Carr. Possibly a 7th from Chris Simms.

What do you guys and gals think?

I think the Titans get a third and maybe a seventh.

I don't see Sims or King fetching anything. Loper and Carr may be worth a seven because Haye offsets some of this. Jones is offset by Washington. Big Al should land the Titans a nice one.

Eric King..boy that roster cut sure worked out didn't it. 1.6 mil..man that's a heavy contract to pick up.

King wanted a shot at starting. Same with Carr.

    Carr deserved it, King didn't.

Not playing 15 yards off the receiver everytime he didn't; really neither of them would be in the position that in last offseason they should have been guaranteed that thing

King is a better pure CB than Carr is.

Imagine if we had kept Carr as a return man though...
