they statistically improved, their record did not, in fact it got worse. the jets made the playoffs because the colts rested their players and the AFC was muddled this year.

eric mangini got fired because his team fell apart at the end of the year(and brett favre decided to throw a billion INTs). the titans came together and their play improved throughout the second half of the season.

the 0-6 start was unfortunate and some of it was self-inflicted, but no one could have won with the defense we fielded against jacksonville, indy and new england.

Is it the 'stache? If it's the 'stache I hear Ron Jeremy would be interested. If it's not the look, I hear Mike Leach is looking for a job or how about Urban? He could ease his heart by getting rid of all those recruiting worries. Just some suggestions. :)

i'm not the one calling for poeple to be fired, i put that in the hands of the people who ARE qualified to do so.

Umm.... No. It didn't. Which is why I said "If we improved as much as any of those coaches (aside from McDaniels)- we'be be in the playoffs". Because every team improved by at least 1 game.

The only record that didn't improve was McDaniels... who's stayed the same at 8-8.

Keep trying though. Eventually there WILL be a legit excuse for Jeff Fisher keeping his job. At least one.

And as for we don't know anything and always downing the fan's perspective (which I hate). We don't have to know as much as GMs and owners to know whether a coach should be gone or not.

If an entire class was failing and your kid complained about a teacher not doing their job to help the kids learn- you'd want a different teacher for your child. Would you know who to replace them with? No. Are you on the board of education to know for sure what their exact qualifications and teaching stance is? Nope. Would it matter?
No, because you can look at a situation logically and decide: That teacher sucks. Simply put. And they shouldn't be teaching, or maybe they just need a change of scenery.
    That's Fisher.

We don't have to know football as much as "experts" (even though many fans know MORE than coaches. That's all coaches are, anyway. Fans of the sport that studied it), all we have to do is use common sense.

And common sense says: Trim the fat. Dude's got to go.
