He's escaped by the skin of his teeth to only continue the same cycle far too many times.

He shouldn't even be allowed to finish the season. He's lost it.

They really need to send Fisher packing now and name someone interim coach, until the seasons over. If they name someone on staff now interim, and the team responds like they suddenly care again, maybe make them HC later

I don't expect the likes of Cowher, Dungy, Gruden, or Shanahan and there is no one from within that's head coach worthy except McGinnis and he doesn't want the damn job. If Fisher had came out and declared Schwartz the head coach in waiting he would have been off limits for Detroit and instead of Fisher being ran out he could have stayed on as GM and it would be Schwartz's team to coach.

I say it's time for a change. He has been a solid coach for the past 16 years, but its time to find someone who can take us to the next level. My vote goes to Gruden, but with Buds track record Im not sure he would go that route. As far as coordinators, there really isnt any that jump out at me...maybe Brian Schottenheimer, but Id rather have Gruden. There is no one on the current staff that should be considered, although I would like to see Much and Wash kept.

I simply feel that Fish is as good as a coach as you are going to find. He doesnt have the best track record and it's understandable that people feel that with the way this season has gone coupled with his past track record that he should be fired. I think Fish is just stuck in an era of football that is alien to the kind he is used too. He just simply needs to understand that there comes a time when a man's philosophy has to be adjusted or outright reconsidered. Now, his stubborness to change somethings that are glareing weaknesses has me on edge but until we have a consistent stretch of seasons were we play like this (I'm talking about under .500) then fry the Fish! Until then, we need to do a better job at drafting and at least get back to our strong point and thats the defense.

I do belive however that Fish needs to consider a major overhaul on how the defense is built and now would be a good time to experiment with an adjusted phiosophy.

Because that's always helped turn a football team around in mid-season.

We're not turning this around this season. It is time to get the team ready for next season. That means getting Vince more snaps, not because I think he's the answer, but to show Bud that he isn't. If Vince mans up and becomes the QB most hoped he would be, then that is one less position we have to worry about next year. I would also like to see Cook get more on the job training.

I'm not going to sit here and say that bringing back Kerry Collins was a 100% mistake because over the off-season, I honestly thought this 1-year deal might take us to the Super Bowl-- a number of things have gone wrong. Some of it is Collins' fault, but not all of it. Everyone needs to take part of the blame.

However, VY hasn't shown me anything to make me believe that he's ready to be our leading QB next season, or the season after that. I think he's had his chance, and all he's shown is he's too emotional and unstable to handle the pressure of this league. I'm crossing my fingers for a high draft pick, and hoping we're smart enough to use it on a new QB "of the future."
