It's Lamont Thompson at the QB position.

I won't be surprised to see Collins starting in 2 weeks.

 

The Titans completed as many passes to the Pats as to Titans. Never seen that happen.

Vince was our LEADING PASSER at 0-2 for 0 yards and 1 INT.

What that says to me is that Collins is done, and Vince should be given the chance to prove he is done, too. With the 1st pick of the draft the Titans pick a QB or trade for one.

 

The game was over before it even began. The team gave up on the season after last weeks loss.

 

He should have been happy to play at all. If he had shown anything out there yesterday he would start for us in the next game no questions asked. Instead he throws a pick and almost gets saftied by second team D.

 

He shouldn't have to be happy about anything about that game.
He get's thrown in during garbage time, pretty much to where he really couldn't do anything. Yeah, I'm sure that made him want to lay down and make some snow angels up there. Pfft.
I'm sure you would have been happy about it if it were you instead, wouldn't you?

 

No, the team gave up in Week 2. WEEK TWO. Look at the difference in play between the Pitt game and Houston. The defense gave up yards against Pitt, sure, but only gave up 13 points. The defense was f'ing invisible vs Houston, after that the game the whole team quit, two games in..its pathetic.

 

It's becoming more and more clear that Fisher is convinced the Titans can't win with Vince. Even when Collins is playing as bad as he has played, Fisher thinks the Titans are better off with Collins.

Fisher also seems to hate Vince. The relationship between Fisher and Young seems to be irreparably damaged. Maybe it was the quitting on the team (on 2 separate occasions), the suicide thing with the cops or perhaps something that happened behind the scenes that we don't know about (like the rumor of Vince demanding his release). Regardless of the reason, it seems like Fisher has zero interest in turning the team over to Vince until Bud makes him. Maybe he's trying to sabotage Vince's career (I doubt it) or maybe he's trying to save his own job because he knows that the Titans will be even worse with Vince behind center.

As frustrating as this is, I actually think Fisher may be right. I don't think the team is better off with Vince at QB. Collins is awful. There's no denying that. Vince may be more awful, though. I'm as convinced as ever that Vince will never produce. He looked bad on a very good Titans team two years ago. It's hard to imagine how bad he will look on a crappy Titans team now. That said, I want to see that proof on the field so that none of us have any complaints when Vince is cut at the end of the season. Vince needs to play, regardless of what Fisher thinks of him.

This team has to start next season with a new QB. Whether that's a draft pick or a trade/FA, it is time for a fresh face behind center.

 

I would be happy to be able to have a shot to take the team down one time and basically win the starting job for the rest of the season. Especially if I was playing a second team D. It could not have been easier for him and he totally and utterly sucked.

Why wouldn't you be happy if you were handed a golden ticket that if at the minimum you can look good for the scouts and expecting you to be a FA at the end of the season?

 

What? How could it not been easier for him?
I'll be happy to tell you ways it could have been easier for him.
-starting in a game that wasn't agaisnt the Pats
-starting in a game that wasn't in the GD snow
-starting in a game where we weren't already down 59-0
-starting in a game with the FIRST team offense
-2nd stringers aren't going to pass protect as well
-2nd stringers aren't going to run routes or cach passes as well
