Are you advocating Young would not have had three INTs in the game?

You guys who think Collins is the problem totally ignore the turnover machine that was Vince Young in '07 and the beginning of '08.

When we went up 21-7 we should have been able to hold onto the game. The secondary SUCKED big time yesterday...including 2 of our 3 pro-bowl players. Safeties were nowhere to be found yesterday.

And, I am hating to say this because I wear the 53 [thought this year have been wearing my 89 Wycheck for old time sake] but Keith is showing me nothing in the ability to cover TEs. He was beat several times, including the TD, and I am wondering if he has lost a step.

I am not hanging this on Kerry...his numbers were good enough to win the game. We have ZERO pass rush, an ineffective secondary and LBs who will continue to allow TEs to tear us up.

Collins could have should have played a little better, yes. But let's face it - in the last 2 games we've had the ball with a chance to win, and the D has gotten pressure forcing Collins to throw it away, take sacks or fumble. On the other side of the ball our D has attempted to bring pressure, not gotten there and given up plays left and right - forcing us to rely on Collins to make a play.

We're not protecting him at the end of the game. And we're not adjusting to the lack of protection. We can't keep teams from scoring in the final minutes of the game. We can't run the ball effectively in the 4th quarter to at least win the field position battle. Our special teams is handing out free yards on both ends of a kick. This team, on every front, is completely out of sync.

This startled me as well. I wasn't at the game so I couldn't see the receivers routes, but I know that we did not challenge the Texans secondary AT ALL in this game. We had a few mid range completions but mostly short stuff. Why didn't we take any more deep shots? Were the receivers covered all game?

Can't blame a game where your O scores 31 points on the O. However, our D did come up with quite a few stops in the 4th quarter which lead to no points.

I do believe that we won't win a SB with KC but at this point you can't argue that Vince should be thrown in. Give it a week or two.

We should really be looking to Justin Miller at this point.

Here's to hoping that we draft Javier Arenas next year :(.

Unlike many on this board I don't claim to be psychic, so I won't comment on how Young might or might not have fared. My only point is that Collins played at a very average level, completing mostly short passes with a few medium in between.

Now our receivers might not be getting great separation, but sometimes the QB also have to put the ball where the receiver can get it, even if there isn't much separation and Collins doesn't seem to be able to do that on medium to deep routes.

And just to make it clear I don't think Collins lost us the game, the defence clearly did. However I must agree with the people who are saying that he's starting to show he can't get it done in a clinch. And frankly if that keeps up I would rather see Young or Ramsey in there, for good or bad.

It's not about the rest of the game. Ever heard someone say "The game came down to..." Well, the game came down to the final drive, and Kerry choked, AGAIN! Besides, It's not like Kerry did much to win that game either, If your blaming the loss on the Defense, then I'm crediting us even being in the game to Chris Johnson.

I'm not denying the defense has issues. But we're 0-2 this season for several reasons, and Kerry choking in the 4th quarter is one of them, not just the defense. The defense has put us in position to win the last few games, Its the QB's job to get it done.

I wouldn't say the defense has "put us in position" but the offense has had opportunities and not been able to come through. Kerry did a very nice job in the first half of the game yesterday but was mediocre at best in the second half. Our O-Line had some difficulties with the Texans front seven too.

I don't attribute our offensive success yesterday to Kerry as much as to Chris Johnson. Kerry managed the game decently, in the first half at least, but CJ provided the gamebreaking plays. One thing I'll say is if we expect Kerry to be successful we need better protection from the O-Line. The guy is every bit of a statue and throwing the ball away, while better than an INT, amounts to a wasted play on offense. The Jets defense is quite good and will provide a big challenge for our O-line and RB's.

I agree with you on VY not playing with the offensive starters we have now but if VY had played in any part of that game before the KC fumble play do you think the Texans would of ran the exact same defensive play? No, they would of dialed up some play with at least one defensive player spying vince so chances are that Red Sea opening wouldnt be there but then that opens up the chances of a WR having a better chance to be open.

I would like to see what VY can do with our new weapons though.

You are assuming Collins would not have eventually scored by other means if CJ hadn't broken the big plays. You are assuming Young would have played better on that final drive.

I am assuming the Titans would have lost by 10 or more if Young was the QB.

What I KNOW is that Collins is the Titans #1 for a reason and that hasn't changed.
