    2 Thoughts on today's games.

    1. Crompton is just terrible. Florida looked very beatable today. In fact I might argue their offense is only going to be average all year long, IMO their not a championship good team.

    2. USC losing to freaking Washington makes me hate Jim Tressel's coaching even more.

BTW my prediction for the championship game: California vs. Texas

I agree. Florida's offense just isn't nearly as explosive without Harvin. They're lucky they won't see Bama until the SEC Championship because I believe Bama can/will beat them.

I think Stevens could do better than 2 picks and less than 100 yards, or better than 3 picks and less than a 100 yards, aka Cromps last two games.

He did, and I was impressed. He's not great but I like his vision. He sees gaps well and cuts back making the most of runs.

Kiffin coached very Fisher-like today. Being that conservative will keep you in the game, but it'll always LOSE you the game too. Gotta take some shots. Crappy QB or not.
And calling pass plays with 1 receiving option in the redzone 2 times in a row with a bad QB is NOT a way to boost his confidence.

Apparently the staff doesn't agree. Stephens might as well start packing his bags because he'll be sitting behind a true freshman next year too.

Honestly, I think Kiff was just trying to keep this game respectable. They knew they were over-matched...if Crompton starts chucking it around, the game gets ugly.

And for what it's worth, on the play to Jones in the end-zone, Crompton had Cooper WIDE open on the spear route. Easy pitch and catch for a TD, but he was locked on to Jones and didn't even see Cooper.

I think if Crompton has another piss poor performance like the last two weeks, he'll get pulled. I just don't see any way Stevens can't do better than utter failure. Cromp is worse than Clausen..impossible I know, but true.

Stephens is no better than Crompton. Folks act like coaches would bench the better player on the bench. If the player doesn't show it in practice, won't be showing it in the game.

I'm glad Rich Rodriguez went with the kid that was amazing people at camp rather than the 'experience' in Sheridan.

What sucks is- before Cutcliffe left, you guys had a great QB recruit. But once he left, that kid didn't keep his commitment. Can't remember his name now. P

Also had Morgan Burnett before Trooper Taylor left...that would be a decent secondary.
