I say (once again, Gunny) you are correct.

We lost 13-10, in OT no less, to the SB Champs.

Lighten up people. It's week One.

Why did we have to come away from blitzing in the 4th quarter? Once Cecil starting only sending four and then three I knew we would lose the game as Ben got into a rhythm and passed all over us with no run game.

It's weird, b/c there were times too where we were only rushing three downline men, and Fatburger was still completing passes on the D with ease. I have no idea how we made them one dimensional and they were still productive offensively.

Nope. That pick was all on Collins. Watch the play again and you will blatantly see Britt slowing down to try to get it...which means he under threw it. Had he thrown it to Britt in stride, it would have been six. Britt could have also tried to bat it down to keep Troy from picking it.

I wasn't worried about CJ to begin with.

Lack of execution is what cost us this game. We may be a better team on paper, but we lost when the rubber met the road. Being a better team on paper doesn't mean you'll have a W at the end of the game.
The best thing I can say is that hopefully this will be the wake up call and Fish/Dinger/Cecil will shore up what we effed up on.

The defencive playcalling concerns me. We played soft at the end of the 2nd Q and they drove for a score, we played soft in the 4th Q and OT and they drove for the win.

Even Collinsworth, of whom I'm not a big fan, realised the playcalling was horrible. Especially the tendency to give Holmes a 10 yard cushion on 3rd and short.

i stopped reading after the first post

I really feel like this offense is just beginning to emerge. they showed flashes Britt will just get better and collins will gain confidence in him. the running game won't get stifled like this every game andCJ showed he is still a handful in space. I think by week 5 this offense will look a lot more potent ... still fisher ball but wth more teeth. Pittsburgh is the same team they were last season. Tennessee will look better week to week. this is a marathon fellas don't get nuts.

    Well, ANOTHER TYPICAL Titans loss.

With 2:00 min left in the 4th we had a good chance to put a drive together and get into FG range, but of course the Steelers blitz 3 times in a row and Collins throws it away all three times..WTF?!?!?! Like they didn't know the blitz was coming after the first, or second time? I just don't get it. I knew the Titans would lose as soon as they went three and out, WEAK. And Cecil is supposed to be more aggressive? Where? You can't just keep rushing four like that without getting pressure on Big Ben. Again, these are games the Titans always lose, nobody should be surprised.

CJ picked some blitzes up, but there were times he just flat out missed where the blitz was coming from and the man got pressure and made KFC throw it early (Like the drive you mentioned), or they hit him. Even on the ones he picked up he was getting pushed around some, he'd be better cutting the man to the ground, instead of trying to pick the blitz up high. Either that, or get in the weight room, and EAT a little. If gaing some weight from muscle comes at the sacrifice of adding .5 seconds to his 40 time, I'm with that all day.
