yeah those players just materialize out of thin air. too bad the coaches dont have any pull on that sort of thing:rolleyes:

again, i like Fisher and dont want to lose him, but he has to become more aggressive defensively.

Can't blame fisher for this one. It's all on the ST. Blitzing would of obviously helped too but who calls the defensive plays? Fisher or Cecil?
And I guess a few more screens From are OC would of made a differance when their throwing the house at KC.
At the end of the day we missed 2 gimme FG.

in the first half. no excuse. we had a lead in the fourth. and pissed it away with the softest defensive scheme i've ever seen.

    You're right.

But it seemed like when they started to blitz, Ben threw it quickly right behind them. It's a tough compromise.

If you read my earlier post, I said Shanahan or Cowher would be my choice. Both have won the big game and have prove over the years to be very good coaches. By the way Fisher inherited McNair so the closet wasn't exacly bare despite the record on 94.

What the hell did Shanahan do without Elway? Nothing, that's why he got fired.

What the hell did Cowher do without having a great defense, an outstanding running game, and a good young QB?
and... what makes you think he would come here?

What other studs? Dungy? Dungy would have done nothing without Manning. If Mora would have stuck in Indy, he'd probably be regarded as one of the best.. it turned out he got canned before Manning really took off.

Give Dave Wannstedt the Patriots of this decade, and there's your greatest coach of all time.

It amazes me how well we played only to lose. To me the Titans are just a better team than the Steelers. A blocked field goal? How often does that happen? Scaife fumbles when he hurts his leg and Birnoas makes a FG he makes 9/10 times. A lot of fluke stuff happened and we lost. It was very similar to the Ravens game, we had so many good chances and we couldn't beat this team.

I'm angry because it would have been great to beat the Steelers on primetime but lets look at the facts.

    - Did losing Haynesworth matter? Clearly not. Stopped the run game and sacked Ben 4 or 5 times.

    - The passing game looked REALLY good. That Collins pick (to be fair was a great play) was a dumb call, we were driving no need to go for it all. But aside from that Britt and Gage looked really good. Gage's drop hurt a lot but he made up for it with a lot of other great plays.

    - Anyone still worried about Chris Johnson after a bad pre season? Didn't think so.

I mean really the only BIG knock on this team was the field goals. We make just ONE of them we probably win. Either way we went toe to toe with the defending champs on their field and should have won. Were going to be there in the end, we just need to execute better when given an opportunity to score.

If you're saying that Shanahan wasn't a good coach, a good drafter, and great game manager without Elway you're nuts. Cowher shaped that team, he drafted the players and coached his :grrr::grrr::grrr: off, like him or not. Dungy inherited Manning sure, but he came in and really shaped up their defense and provided Manning the weapons he needed to win.
