If Collins can repeat his success, Britt and Cook can be who we think they can be, and if losing Haynesworth wort hurt as I don't think it will, we have GOT to be better than last year and in 99.

I agree in certain ways, but honestly... he's just saying that.

He's "the dean" of the league. He's never won a Super Bowl. The pressure's on like never before.

Why would he not say this? Obviously there's some truth to it, and it should be funny to catch the "experts" by surprise this year when we march down to Miami and snag that Lombardi, biatch!

Actually, to catch the "experts" by surprise we would only have to win 9 games.

How many times has he said this in the past? I don't recall once. I'm one of the prime candidates to bash Fisher for 'Fisherspeak', but this is actually opposite of that.
This is something that he'd usually never say, actually. So I'm thinking he actually believes it to an extent.

And why wouldn't he? It makes no sense as to why this wouldn't be the best team we've had. The running game should be the best it's ever been, the passing game the same. The defense has more talent than it's ever had, even without Haynesworth.

Simply speaking? We're stacked. And we're never going to be much better if any.
So this puts a lot of pressure on Fisher himself. It's win now or never.

    Very true.

I realize he's never said this in the past, but this is just getting my hopes way up now. Last year, my hopes were at an all time high (I was only 11 when we first played the Ravens, so I wasn't as in tune with the game) and we failed. I'm sick of that junk. I think we all are.

We need to win it... we deserve to win it.

Assuming guys like Washington, Cook and Britt don't have any drop-off once the real show begins this is one of the most solid teams I've seen in a while - Titans or not. It's really rare to get a good balance between the run game and passing game - on both offense and defense. We really don't have any glaring weakness at any position other than kick returner. Talent alone doesn't guarantee anything, but they're off to a great start.

This is certainly the best offense the Titans have had ever - true threats at RB, TE and WR... with good depth and talent at each position behind the playmakers. One of the most talented O lines in the league - good lines alone will keep you in most games. A reliable QB who doesn't take risks but can make any throw you ask. I'd say this group is probably more dangerous than Steve, Eddie, Frank and Mase. Totally different styles, though.

As for defense, this group on paper might not quite compare to 2000 or even last year... but again it's really solid at every point from D line to LBs and DBs. I mean our biggest worry with the team is what happens if one of our 3 Pro Bowl DBs goes down. That says a lot. I know to the outside the D line is lost without AH but the truth is our backups could start on 1/2 the teams in the league. I can guarantee you every team in need of a DT or DE is watching our round of cuts.
