Was Vince really that awful as the media and some fans have portrayed? I decided to review all of his throws to see if he was throwing at receivers feet or not even close to them. Well, my analysis reveal that his throws were not horrendous as led to believe.

I'll let all of you review the tape. I guess that this is the reason that VY feels that he played alright.

Sorry for the jumpy camera...my little girl kept wanting to help!

1st and 10 at TEN 37 (15:00) V.Young pass incomplete short right to L.White. (Was it a drop or was it behind him? It's not like it was wayyyy behind him)

    3rd and 9 at TEN 38 (15:00) (Shotgun) V.Young pass deep left intended for L.Hawkins INTERCEPTED by L.McKelvin at BUF 43. L.McKelvin to TEN 43 for 14 yards (V.Young).
Look at the iso on Hawkins. If he was supposed to break the pattern back to the sideline then he possibly would have been wide open. No one is over the top.

2nd and 7 at TEN 8 (9:54) V.Young pass incomplete deep right to L.Hawkins. (Throw was low and to the sideline so that only Hawk can make the play)

2nd and 17 at TEN 5 (5:09) V.Young pass short left to C.Stevens to TEN 18 for 13 yards (A.Palmer). (VY scrambled a bit to find him for nice pick up)

3rd and 4 at TEN 18 (5:09) (Shotgun) V.Young pass incomplete short right to C.Henry. (Is this a drop? He would have made the first down.)

1st and 10 at BUF 37 (2:51) V.Young pass short left to C.Davis to BUF 31 for 6 yards (R.Corner). (Decent pass out in the flat)

3rd and 2 at BUF 29 (2:00) V.Young pass incomplete short right to L.Hawkins. (Same pass to Hawk low and outside so only Hawk can make a play. It appears that VY is telling Hawk to come back to the ball)

1st and 10 at BUF 13 (2:00) V.Young pass short right to P.Williams to BUF 5 for 8 yards (E.Lankster). (Nice quick slant pattern)

3rd and 2 at BUF 5 (1:12) V.Young pass short right to P.Williams for 5 yards, TOUCHDOWN. (Touchdown is different than when I watched it the first time. Basically, they ran the same quick slant pattern but Williams faked the slant so VY had to sell the slant.)

1st and 10 at TEN 25 (12:55) V.Young pass short right to J.Cook to TEN 32 for 7 yards (N.Harris) [A.Palmer]. (VY took a shot in the back on the throw. Cook catches everything so definitely the right read)

So, I know many will say that I'm a VY apologist...maybe you're right. KC is the better of the two so I will not deny that. BUT if you look at the video, I believe that you won't think VY was awful at all.
If anything...don't throw it to Hawkins!!! I'm just kidding but he was a part of most of VY misses.

Awesome analysis, he made some good throws, especially the sideline throws. Even though they were incompletions, he threw the ball where only the wr could catch it. He is minimizing his turnovers despite the early int. I think it was a decent outing for some one who hasn't played in a while.

    Vince sucks. Period.

I'm sick of actually looking forward to seeing what he can do. He never comes through with anything. For example, I was looking forward to him playing last season, assuming he would really hit a stride and begin a long, great career. After pretty much proving his horrendousness, I still looked forward to see him playing in the season finale against the Colts. What did he do?... Nothing. He was unable to produce a single point... That's sad when you're playing against starters. But, he wasn't even playing against starters. He was playing against scrubs... guys who warm the bench all season. I looked forward to seeing what he could do against the Bills in the HoF Game... nothing. He was able to throw a nice pass to Paul Williams in the back of the endzone. Hell, that's one pass. Jamarcus Russell can even manage to throw one nice pass per game.

Let him be someone else's problem. I'm sick of his talk. I'm sick of his behavior. I'm sick of his lack of performance.

LenDale and Henry should have been caught.
    TD pass was nice.
    Davis, Cook were nice passes.
Williams first catch I wasn't sure if he caught it low or just fell over.

He still needs to plant his feet.

Geez if guys are sick of talking about him, why even post about him. Your just fueling the flames and contradicting yourselves. That said, all he's doing is reviewing vince's passes to see if he had as poor an outing as the stats show. I say no. So if your sick of talking about him. Don't reply to my post.

Sorry but many people have given VY waaaayyy too much slack, including the Titans organization. He doesn't possess the intelligence to play the position and does not throw the ball accurately. But most importantly he doesn't have the heart or mental toughness needed to play the QB position: boos hurt him badly enough that he has to take himself out of the game.:gag: He is afraid to throw the ball downfield, this is painfully obvious and having a gun shy QB is a recipe for disaster. I don't think I can recall seeing a QB making as many check down throws to RB's, which are usually inaccurate like the Chris Henry throw. Even the TD pass he did complete was overshadowed by the catch Paul Williams made on it. The Titans are better off just admitting they made a mistake on this loser, cut him and don't look back.

I never said I'm sick of talking about him. I'm just sick of him sucking it up.

I can talk about him all day long. It's easy to be negative... easier to be negative than positive because I'm Negative Nancy! ;)

    Yes.

It wasn't way behind him, but he was bending over almost touching his toes to try and catch it. It was low AND behind him. When I first watched it on tv, I thought it was a good pass and a drop. Now I see otherwise.

He could have been wide open for what? A ball that was thrown to the wrong place? If Hawkins runs the correct route, then he's by the sidelines wondering where the ball was thrown as the DB that was SITTING on it would have made the exact same interception.

Wow. So we're giving the guy CREDIT for uncatchable balls now? haha "Well, at least he threw it where it couldn't have been intercepted!"

He looked decent on this play.

It was a drop, but here's the thing: When you make it hard for the receiver, a drop is the QB's fault in many cases. Henry was stopped, facing Young. It was an easy pass- and VY threw it over his head making him stretch out for it. Why? Most high schoolers could make that pass to the numbers.

Best pass so far. He didn't look uncomfortable or as if he was freaking out.

There were 3 Bills defenders between Hawkins and Vince. Saying he threw it so "only Hawk can make a play" is ridiculous. He should have thrown that one out of bounds if he was going to throw it at all.
When a defender gets his hands on the ball before it reaches it's target- it is NOT thrown so only Hawkins can make a play.

    Good pass.

Possibly the best pass VY has ever thrown in his life.

Once again he throws to the guy with 3 defenders surrounding him. Cook is just good enough to bail him out. He stared at him the entire time neglecting the rest of the field. Same ol' Vince.

Hmm. It was pretty bad, man. lol Making bad excuses doesn't help it much.
