He can't get it done against Indy's B-Team Defense... He can't get it done against the Bills B or C team defense. I want him to do well. It's just painful to watch him play. We have to give credit where Credit is due. Patrick Ramsey had a hell of a showing.

Young is a 4 year veteran. He certainly didn't look polished or in command like a 4th year vet should.

It is time to stop the wishful thinking and see it for what it is. Vince still can not pass accurately. The SLGO TD was nice but it was only one pass. It didn't make up for the several throws at the feet of the receivers and the floater that was picked. How come we only seem to hear about WR's blowing assignments when Vince is the QB? Communication is part of his resopnsibility as well as being confident the WR is in position before releasing the ball.

I really don't have any desire to see Vince fail. But my desire to see the team succeed is far greater than my desire to see Vince succeed.

Vince Young is a back-up QB at best. Yes- it is only the first pre-season game. But Vince Young is in his fourth year and appears more inconsistent than many rookie QB's. IMO Ramsey beat his azz last night and based on that limited performance last night- that is who I would choose as the second string QB.

Are we really going to complain about his TD throw? The one where he hit Paul Williams perfectly in the back of the endzone? Really?

Add to that the fact that the INT was primarily caused by Hawkins running the wrong route - a fact that Dinger didn't seem to miss when he gave Hawkins a heated dress down after the play.

Young did not look good, but he didn't look terrible either. He had two catchable balls dropped. His one INT was due to a receiver running the wrong route. He threw a good TD pass. My biggest problem with Young is that he just doesn't have any confidence in his legs any more. I don't know what is going on in his head but as a rookie when he decided to run he ran with confidence. Now, he just looks lost when running.

    Ramsey - 0 INT
    Young - 1 INT

What's more important yards or points? Well, on his "points" possession it was only a 37 yard "drive". The pass in the endzone was pretty, but it was the only one he had. He showed absolutely zero awareness on the INT play. The receiver ran the wrong route sure, that happens in the NFL, doesn't mean you throw it directly to the secondary of the other team.

So with all that said, what's more important, moving the ball or turning it over?

7 points is great and all, but thus far he has shown that he hasn't learned or changed a damn thing from what we saw last year.

His one interception would've been picked whether Hawkins ran the right route or not, he just lobbed that pass up for grabs.

That's about as perfect of a fade to the endzone as you can get. You float it out there so just in case the defender is there, you give your receiver a chance to outjump the corner. Paul did his part too with keeping his feet in bounds. Well-executed play i'd say.

You can prove that? You have the ability to see that "alternate universe" and know, without a doubt, that the Bills would have intercepted the pass if Hawkins had run the correct route? Do you use this amazing skill to make any money? Does it serve any other purpose, or is it just good for making unsubstantiated comments on GoTitans.com?

4 incomplete passes and you've made up your mind about Vince? I really don't remember all those passes being at the WRs feet. I'm positive one was slightly behind Lendale. The INT was possibly an incorrect route being ran. If everyone remembers, it did appear Vince's helmet was not working as Heimi had to shout in the play. And really Vince had 5 incomplete passes, but one hit the hands of Chris Henry so that isn't on Vince.

If you consider 1 incomplete to C.Henry, the INT, and the 1 incomplete behind LW... that leaves 2 incomplete passes. Even if both those were at the feet of the WR, you are saying 2 passes make "several throws at the WRs feet"?

The Paul Williams TD pass was encouraging. For one thing, even if its incomplete it wouldn't have been intercepted. Vince started the game horribly, but it's good to see he improved during the game and didn't give up. I was mainly disappointed that he didn't have a big run.

What I'm reading in this thread is a lot of exaggeration by those that gave up on Vince long before now. While there is a lot to improve off of yesterday's performance, it certainly isn't the damnation of his career.

I'm starting to think VYs best friend was Norm Chow. Since Dinger has come on board VY simply doesn't understand what the heck he is doing. He has no feel for the game. Sure the pass to Williams was nice but it was one of those where he knew where he was going with the ball before the snap. Nice execution on that play but his consistency is terrrible. His timing, accuracy and feel for the game simply isn't there. Even the TD pass wasn't something Ramsey couldn't have done. Nice play but not enough to start thinking VY can be a player.
