when fisher pulled out morts kid...who did he go to? young or ramsey? that sent a pretty big message in my book.

fisher didnt want to throw away a perfectly good win...so he put ramsey back in.

sorry, but when a player quits on his team and doesnt want to go back in because he is being booed. then goes on record saying that the team should have helped him out more and supported him during the times he was getting booed. this guy is a waste of space and money.

I think Chris Collinsworth got it right when he said the Titans are sending mixed signals to young. They want him to study more and work on his reads, which is why he looks shaky in the pocket, but then they say have fun and play your game out there which is look for the first option and if he isn't there, then run. We need to stop confusing the guy and just say hey look, study the playbook and work on your footwork, but stick to your game.

 

While I am not sure if VY will ever be a great pro, as long as he is on the Titans Roster, I hope he does. Never root for your own guy to fail even if he has been through some stuff.

Yes, he had to work on mechanics. Yes, he had to learn to see the field. But that kid had more poise than any rookie QB I have seen in a long time. He was a leader - he made the team his, and when there was a miscommunication he talked it out to make it right. He stood tall in the pocket, and when he took off he was decisive.

I want my rookie back. He could outplay his 3rd year pro self, faults and all.

 

I was not rooting for Vince Young to fail but that interception right off the bat set the tone for me. It just p!$$ed me off so bad. Some of it has to do with the Hall Of Fame and Super Bowl crap Vince is talking about. I don't want to hate on the guy but I was by in large unimpressed.

Even VY's td pass to Paul Williams... man, that was one heck of a catch by Williams... didn't we recover a muffed punt during that drive? Isn't that where most of the yards came from? Maybe it's just me, but that touchdown pass didn't look like a really well thrown ball. It has a nice spiral but it just seemed to float. I know it was a fade but to me at least it seemed to be kind of a wonder that Williams caught that at all.

I think if that ball was dropped they would be putting it on VY.

I hope to see VY do better but I'm backing Patrick Ramsey at this point. I don't even think a whole lot of Ramsey either. On the other hand I never really built up a lot of hope for Ramsey. I used to think Vince Young was going to be league MVP by now.

 

VYs pass to williams was perfectly thrown... unfortunately it doesnt mean anything if he's going to throw as many or more INTs than TDs.... its a simple concept really. i dont give a flip about the TDs if he cant protect the ball.

im not hating, and i dont want VY to fail. quite the opposite really... but he still cant even throw an accurate pass to lendale 5 yards away in the flat.

and i place the INT on vince since there was a Bill charging him blind side, it looked like vince paniced in floated it up. note: not placing blame on vince cuz i hate him and want him to look bad

I seriously doubt that the coaching staff tells him to look at the 1st and ONLY the 1st rcvr, and run if he is covered.
I don't think it is mixed messages at all. It is what a QB should be able to do....
- Read the defense
- Go through ALL you progressions
- Make a decision to throw it, throw it away, or run with it.
To do these things you have to study and work at it.
I believe that is what the staff has done. It just looks like he is still struggling.
Any confusion there might be is not coming from the coaching staff.
