The Fisher way is to find a vet that will take care of the football. The Titans offense isn't one which relies on the arm of their QB so I think a guy like Cutler would be wasted in this offense.

I'm thinking as long as Collins is healthy, he'll play in '10. Depending on what Vince does this season, we may see the Titans draft a QB in the third next draft. But I think the next QB will be in the Collins, Sims, Ramsey mold if Young doesn't take a step.

Actually stevens would be more of an H-back type since H-backs are usually not exceptional receivers but can block. Joe gibbs basically invented the concept in washington and his H-backs were blockers.

The bottom line for cook is that he is a much better blocker than most WRs so when he lines up in the slot we can run the ball. Similar to what the colts do with clark.

    Uggggh.

It's not that I disagree with what you're saying. And Fisher's record is what it is.

But we seriously need to win a Superbowl with this style or move on.

The thought of years more of anti-passing offense just drags me down.

If you look at the offensive plays, the Titans are not anti-passing. It's that the passing game is conservative.

I'm hoping we see more "deep shots" this season.

I saw more deep attempts last season than I thought we would. However several of them Kerry seemed to have overthrown the WR ever so slightly, but it also easily could have been that the WR (cough cough...JMac....cough cough) didn't have the speed to go get it. Let's hope Mr. Washington will alleviate that issue.

McClain is always good at either being completely wrong or he states the obvious. For example, here is a quote he would make for every rookie DT guy coming into the league and be right 99% of the time "kid needs to get stronger and develop better technique". It is like saying a rookie WR needs to develop better route running skills.

I agree with you that McClain is wrong about the decoy thing as well. Fisher is slow but he is coming around and has figured out that you can't win championships without playmakers on offense. That doesn't mean Fisher will drastically change his philosophy of running the ball but we actually saw last year, LAST YEAR, the Titans pass the ball at times to set up the run. Fisher also saw last year that when his stud RB goes down against a great defense it is hard to score points without playmakers at other positions. I Don't expect the Titans to become the Coryell Chargers but I do think Dinger has the green light to do whatever he has to do to keep drives going and score points.
