Anyone else surprised to hear him call Cook an H-back? Can anyone explain to me why he would see him that way?

The thing is Ewker, myself and a small minority of posters were screaming for the Titans to draft Cutler. We were called idiots and homers. It isn't bad enough we ended up with a dud pick but some of us saw it coming.

Because McClain is an idiot when it comes to knowing about football. What he is trying to say is Cook will be used as a non blocking TE who occasionally plays WR. By calling Cook and H-back he is calling him a tweener between a full back and TE. Obviously McClain is wrong.

and where do we find our next qb? i'm still hoping it's vince, just so we don't have to take some other team's leftovers like the texans and vikings. chances are we're probably not going to be picking in the top ten in the next two years, and i doubt collins plays after this year.

Really? That's your worry? That we won't do badly enough in the next couple of years to find a QB for the future?

Man, I'd take that problem every year!

Ok, that's what I thought. I was kind of hoping that there was some kind of explanation that would make sense of what he was saying, but I guess he's just mis-using the term.

i didn't mean for it to come off that way, and i don't think it did, i think you're just trying to be an :grrr::grrr::grrr: hat.

but no, that's not my worry. my worry is that after collins, who frankly played the best he has in his 14 year career last year, we have no future and no means of getting a future.

we could trade for someone's leftovers and have a great chance of getting the next rob johnson, because let's face it, that's usually what happens. we could trade draft picks to get a top ten guy, which hurts EVEN MORE than vince young's pick if he doesn't work out since it costs more.

we can always try to get kerry collins part 2, a guy who pretty much sucked throughout his career and hope he has some type of revelation for a year or two, just long enough to hopefully eek out a super bowl.

Kerry Collins is the same kind of player Vince Young is, if you haven't seen why then come to my house and Ill spend hours explaining it over some drinks because Kerry is 36 years old and Vince isn't. By the time Vince is 35 he will be every bit the same as Collins (hopefully sooner than 35). Kerry also had issues as a youngster so just because he is just now getting it, doesn't mean Vince at 25 is a bust. Carolina I'd say quite on Collins much like some Titan fans have quite on Vince. Sure he may have quite on you (you feel) but he really didn't. He never really quite. His B.S. talk is worthless today. The fact of the matter is that Vince said he thought about it, but talk is cheap so to me it never happened. Some of the fans have been saying Collins is the better QB for us and its true, even as much as I love the idea of Vince playing QB for us Kerry is our best bet as of today. BUT that doesn't mean Vince isn't any bit as good or better. If its going to take Vince the time its taken Kerry to adapt to life in Tennessee then cool, because that means Vince will be the best option by next season. Vince and Kerry came to Nashville together, but Kerry had gone through the rookie season before. And for me that means Vince needs just one more season to be our guy, and is why the entire organization also has stood behind Vince. In Collins first round in Tennessee he lost three straight games and threw six interceptions. ('very Vince like' right)????? And now..... Exactly, bingo for Collins! Football is mental, and once you overcome the mental toughness of the NFL your golden.

I wanted either Cutler or VY mayne...looking back now...Cutler would have been a great fit and im From TeXAS bro ...i don't like being a homer but i was excited to see them draft VY but again from a titans point of view he is looking more like a bust and big distraction for our organization..been a Oilers/Titans for a long time and mayne I think we missed with that draft pick.

Interesting he said Marks needs to get alot stronger. I was expecting him to play in the rotation from game 1 - sounds like he may be more of a project.

Disagree w/ the expensive decoys comments re: WR. I think Fisher trusts Heimerdinger w/ offense more than that - and hasn't forgotten how nice it was to have a team that could score points and come from behind back when we had a capable passing game.
