i dont think football should be limited to what fans see as normal play.

it's about points on the board, not style points.

this isnt project gotham racing on xbox 360 where you score kudos for drifting.

nothing wrong wildcat formations. it doesn't let defenses get comfortable and forces an already good player to learn a new style of defense. I think it's refreshing to see. If the Lions would do that on Thanksgiving it might keep fans awake.

I guess you ignored the Baltimore - Miami playoff game last year ... it is a gimmick offense

so what, as i recall nobody even seen the dolphins as a playoff team when the season started. the wildcat got them there. it's going to back fire several weeks out of the year but if they mix it up it can work enough to win a few games a season.

Drafting Pat White is proof they will keep using the wild cat.

If you know it's gonna backfire, why risk it? Too suprise a defense to pick-up 10 yds? It's fun to watch, but not necessary.

I'd play a 46 defense against the wildcat all day. Its a 90% run formation. I hated it at WVU, I hated it at Miami, and I'll hate it wherever it ends up next. It's dull, it's boring, it's mindless. Just run, run, run. I dont get the fact the coaches cant stop it? Just defend the run. It's that easy. You can only run three progressive directions. Right, left, ahead.

in Dec when we play the Dolphins i'll bet the Dolphins will fool the Titans with the Wildcat at least twice and gain good yardage.

Well, the browns couldn't pull it off last season.

Also, if it only works twice, but you run it most of the game, it's a failure.

I honestly think the Browns didn't have the personnel to pull that off; Miami did.

If it works on two separate occasions, both yielding points, it's not a failure.

Concerning the bolded, you haven't watched Fisherball very much, have you. He's the epitome of a run-first coach.
Two, in case you weren't watching last year, teams stacked the s**t out of the box in order to try to stop CJ (a lot of the times unsuccessfully). Soooo, that said, if CJ can run all over those defenses stacking the box, I really don't think he'd have a problem with a 46 defense trying to catch him....especially with our O line.

I'm not a Wildcat advocate or apologist, but I'm not going to rule out something that I think our O could run effectively. Not saying we should, but I think we have the capability.

The Browns couldn't pull off their socks last year let alone run a trick play.
