I would say the defense put VY and the offense on their back and took us to the playoffs that year. It definitely showed and came back and bit us in the a*s against the Chargers when we were only able to kick 2 field goals while the defense ran out of gas towards the end, IMO..

    He was being sarcastic.

I think it's really silly that people use wins and losses as the determination of Cutler's success, but when people use that same argument for Vince, they get bashed. You can't judge Cutler by one standard, and Vince by another. Lots of people wan to say that our defense carried Vince, but some people won't give Cutler credit for having to play with a far inferior defense. You can't have it one way or the other.

Personally, I think wins and losses should be looked at when judging a player, but it shouldn't be the be-all-end-all. The team around Cutler is not as good as the team we have. Their defense is swiss cheese and they started seven different running backs last season. I would say his only advantage would be Denver's receivers. (Royal and Marshall are both better than any receiver we have.) How can you hold a poor team against Cutler? If you take Tom Brady and put him on the Lions, and they only win a handful of games, does Brady suddenly suck because the team didn't have a winning season?

    WOW!

Now I see why everyone was flipping out on me for backing you up dude! Chris Johnson? Kerry Collins?

The Broncos would be winners and the Titans would become the biggest idiots in the history of the NFL! Let's trade a guy who has proven he can be a top 5 running back in the NFL for a guy who hasn't proven he can win yet... Let's trade 4.24 speed away! Let's trade away the guy who, if not injured, would have put up over 250 total yards against the Ravens and led us to an easy Super Bowl victory! YEA!!!! WOOT WOOT! Brilliant!

    Nonsense.

Also, Kerry Collins is still better than Jay Cutler (especially for our style of offense).

The Cutler Situation is mend-able. Winning heals that wound. If you can upgrade by trading him them do it, but if not, force him to play. He'll get over it.

Broncos can plug anyone into their back field. All their backs last year averages over 4 yards a carry (most were above 4.5 and into the 5.0 range) and they ranked 12th.

So their offense is set (if they keep Cutler), you chuck in some drafts for defense and a relatively weak AFC West and they have a chance.

If I was the owner I'd take a step back and see the double talk I'd been doing since Shanahan was fired.
McDumbo's job was so easy going in and he couldn't do that right.

I heard Trent Dilfer yesterday make a good point. There are NFL teams who need a QB to step up and make 40-45 passes a game because their defense sucks. That is the kind of team who relies on their QB to make them a play.

That's the Broncos, Lions and a few others.

Cutler would be underutilized in the Titans offense. Think he'd like the 25 passes he'd get each week? Sure, Dinger would open up the offense some but, the point is, the Titans offense doesn't need the same kind of QB that the Broncos do.

Just an FYI, Dilfer said that in games where the Broncos defense holds opponents to under 23 points, the Broncos are something like 27-1.

    No, I disagree.

They "COULD" plug anyone into their back field... but this is a new coaching staff and a new system. I don't expect the same results in the run game from "anyone" being thrown in the new system.

I'm not up-to-date enough on their O-line... are you enough to say they are completely set on offense, basically saying they have a championship caliber offense?

And their defense could probably use 10 new starters. One draft class, even if its great, I doubt will completely turn it around.
