Actually, if your modem/router is within a room's distance (as mine is) there's no need for wi-fi anyway when a cord is a better connection anyway.
And an extra 100$ would buy you 2 years worth of xbl.

Oh- Xbox now has streaming movies via Netflix. Seems worth noting.

A cord is a better connection, it just depends on placement of 360 and modem/router.

i don't know a whole lot about netflix, but there are movies you can "rent" in the playstation store for the same price as pay-per-view. or you can just outright buy the download and keep it forever.

As long as you have an account with netflix you can watch as many movies as you want for free through your xbox, its very convenient. Theirs certain movies you cant watch online yet as far as new releases but for the most part they have a very large selection that you can chose from...

man I love instant viewing on the Xbox 360 via Netflix ... I think they have something like 12,000 titles you can choose from

The PS3 has a built in WIFI adapter, which costs $100 extra for the 360. The PS3 has a blu ray, which is becoming the standard for hi definition movies, regardless of what the Gloat has to say about it. I own a 46" Panasonic 1080p plasma TV and watching blu rays on my PS3 is fantastic. Come by my house with your favorite DVD anytime and we'll switch em back and forth and you can see for yourself. PS3 also has a web browser and you can play Div X movies downloaded onto a flash drive, unlike the 360. I agree with whoever said it, why Micorsoft didn't make a more internet-friendly device is beyond me. And the online play on the PS3 is absolutely fine, depending on how good your internet connection is, obviously.
he netflix thing is wack, not being able to stream movies to a PS3 that is, but whats even more BS is the WEAK A$S selection of movies Netflix will let you stream...it's a joke.

You're wrong about that man, they got like 100 movies you can instantly view, no where near their full selection of movies. I just canceled my sht when I found out about that garbage

Again, great discussions and I really appreciate all of your views. I just ordered the PS3 from Dell (had a good deal vs the 360) with 80G drive (I can upgrade later). Ought to get here in 2-4 days. Looks like I really couldn't go wrong either way. Now to pick out some good shooter games the little woman and I can play together.

Okay, weak arguement. I believe it is accepted that wiring to router is the far superior way to connect for gaming, but maybe I am wrong. So yes, if you are just married to playing wirelessly, then you are right. Yet noone addresses the underlying issue of current quality of the online system. The Netflix thing is cool, but the selection is limited (although I have found well over 20 movies I wanted to watch, you know one per day).

Wiring is the better way to go, but it depends on location of router/modem and your XBox.
