Because it's appalling to me that it happens and it's appalling that because "everyone does it" it's ok.

Whistle-blowing has to be one of the toughest choices a man makes in life, because of the scrutiny sure to come from doing so.Recording the illegal workouts was genius. Having 300 pound men go at each other full speed without pads is moronic and dangerous.

If the Titans are guilty of this as well, I HOPE they get caught and severely punished, no joke.

As for the first round thing, I seem to lean towards the heavy punishment side of cheating. The added fact that this "cheating" puts people in unnecessary danger, and I hope there is a stiff penalty.
When the **** went down with the Pats, I said they should lose ALL their draft picks the next year. In this situation the Texans should lose their first round pick. If a player fails a steroid test, they should be suspended 10 games first offense. Guess I'm just one to want a clean fair league and figure the more severe the punishments the cleaner, fairer it gets.

In that case...I think most everyone is glad you are not the commissioner.

Is everybody really bashing Texxan over this? Hopefully this is just because it happened to the Texans.

He's right. I can't believe there is a rule against this, because it's done everywhere. I did it in high school. In fact, two summers ago I visited four separate colleges for linemen camps and all of the colleges performed these exact same drills. (For reference, this was at the University of Memphis, University of Mississippi, Middle Tennessee State University and the University of North Alabama) It's not a big deal. There are no pads that prevent what happened to his shoulder, and there are no pads that prevent knee injuries. So it wouldn't have mattered. I don't consider this cheating; I consider it a bad clause in the CBA that probably shouldn't be there.

I played high school ball and we never did anything like that without pads. Of course, I played backyard football and who didnt get some good hits in now and then, altho linemen were rarely used.

There were shady things that went on in my hs, someone died a few years afte i graduated during 2-a-days. never was fond of the way things were ran.

Hey, in highschool I went out with my friends on the weekends and played completely unpadded tackle football for fun. It happened, but that doesn't mean it was ok or a good idea.

The NFL should crack down on this, rather than it continuing to be a fake rule. Player safety should be more important than it is.
