    I like that idea.
Randle El is much tougher than Vince though. I think Bud's pride and his paycheck to Vince will prohibit anything like that from happening here.

This is the first time I've felt it is a realistic possibility VY isn't with the Titans next year.

Collins Wants to be a Starting QB or Retire

SUMMARY: Kerry Collins has stated he wants to be a starting QB for the Titans or another team and, if he can't, will retire. "I made my case known, that I’d like to be here and feel that I can be a part of several more good seasons. I have several good years left in me, I know that," Collins said. "I will pack up and go somewhere else. I don’t want to, but that’s the reality of this business. … I am a starter in this league and if nothing materializes that way I will retire." The Titans have said they wish to resign Collins who will become an unrestricted free agent and it is expected they will offer him a two-year deal to remain the team's starter. This offseason is very important for Vince Young according to Coach Jeff Fisher. Young will count $2.16 millions in 2009 but his salary increases to $7.5 million in 2010 and $8.5 in 2011.

Well, I've been away from the board for awhile, and now that I've checked back...I remember why I left.

When I was last here, the Raiders, the Jets and (best of all) THE BROWNS we're signing all the big free agents. Big Al was fussing 'bout us getting worse rather than better.

Remember how THE BROWNS we're gonna be AWESOME !!!! IN 08

On this board everybody hated swartz...under him we had no shot at a defense. Our FO is filled with idiots who can't draft talent ( like Chris Johnson, Jason Jones, Cortland F.) or find talent like Dave Ball, Chris Carr You know, guys who can play without blowing the lid off the salary cap.

I don't mind thoughtful discussion. And there is room for disagreement. But some of this stuff is just nutty...

The 2008 Titans where the BEST TEAM in football. ( not all time best, but best this year) On Saturday they beat the daylights out of Baltimore...I've watched it three time now. We should have won that game by 20 points. Is it Collin's fault that White dropped the ball at the 15...Is it the defenses fault that Crumpler dropped the ball at the 5 ! Is it Collins fault that we had a newby center who might just snap the ball any where at any time. As good as Rob B is, can you fault him for missing a near 50 yarder in the rain.

There are no perfecty played games and that one on Saturday sure did get imperfect at some very inconvient times...We should be hosting Pitt next week...but we made a few critical mistakes. Mistakes that this team rarely made. Unfortunately, thats the way it went.

But over all, give me this team again next year...with Chris johnson ( and the other outstanding rookies) a year wiser, Collins throwing rockets to an improving recieving corps. A D-line and an O-line that is as good as anybody. A running game as good as anybody. An outstanding secondary. We had something special this year. That's why it hurt so much to see them thow away a game the way they did.

    Thanks for reading my opinion
(you know i love ya) Ron

i am a little confused with how the qb situation is unfolding right now. as stated, collins is gonna be a starter or not gonna be on the titans roster which i agree with. at the monday press conference, fisher stated "There’s a lot of priorities from a personnel standpoint. I don’t typically go into too much detail this quickly after the season but certainly getting Kerry back is very important to us". so with that said what are we gonna do with vince? i may be wrong but it may be possible he gets paid another year to hang out on the sideline. for what? i dont know but im sure all this will make more sense in time.

I would let Collins go. He is old and it reminds me of Brett Farve, he can play good one season and have an OK season next year. Personally I would let VY start next season just to see if he gets another breakdown and if he is gotten better. If he is better we are winning if not we would miss collins and have a 8-8 record or worse.
