I'm amazed Billy Volek still has supporters. Who cares? He's not with us anymore. He's a backup for a reason.

Some people are not blindly loyal to the coaches.

This is yet another situation where I see all you judge and care about the Titans is what's happened recently. Some of us take history into perspective.

Yea silly me for not caring about a QB who isn't on the team anymore and isn't welcome on the team.

And some people are not blindly loyal to backup QBs.

Billy Volek is an example of how it's going to go next summer. If you expect an open competition, you are expecting too much. Jeff Fisher has a history. If you want to ignore it, then so be it, but it is what it is. People don't change unless there is a life changing event that causes that change. Expect more of the same, but hope. Don't ever lose hope. I'm hoping for a WR. But I'm not going to expect it.

Yeah, why care about a former player that won games for us. I mean, once they aren't a Titan they don't matter anymore right?

Hardly. The situation was handled piss poorly from McNair-Volek-Collins- until Bud Adams had Vince take over in 2006.

I don't blame Fisher for what happened to McNair. That isn't his fault. The whole Volek/Collins start of 2006 debacle IS however Fisher's fault, imo.

All I know, after being traded, Volek spoke to the media about his respect for Fisher and how he enjoyed him time as a Titan. Fisher acted like a ***** and whined to the media about how "poor fisher was lied to by mean ole Billy Volek".. :ha:

Fisher decided to start a QB that was completely unready to lead the team that year.

But it's cool, believe whatever Fisher wants you too. Don't have opinions of your own, just take whatever the newspaper tells you as 100% fact. Oh, and Bernie Madoff would like you to invest in his hedge fund.

He started 10 games for us and we went 3-7. It's not like he was a successful QB.

If Volek was worth a crap, he would have been Matt Schaub'd by now.

Whatever Billy Volek is or isn't, is irrelevant, the fact is that Fisher's decisions are emotional. Billy Volek won the job. He didn't get it. Fisher does what he wants to do inspite of what he says in public. Inspite of the numbers. Inspite of what should be done based on the facts. That's who and what he is. He's sort of like a girl when it comes to decision making. He let's his emotions into it. If you disagree with him he blows it into something enormous and tries to embarass you rather than keeping it low key and letting it go. That's just what I see. It's a personality type. I'm not even saying it's wrong, because I like girls and what they have to offer, I'm just saying that he's going to make his decisions on an emotional level rather than a logical one. That's how he likes to work.
