Which is a reason why I'm not crazy about drafting him. We already have a Chris Johnson so I'm not sure I would want another one. I know that sounds weird but I'd rather we focus on a guy who is strictly a wide receiver and not a running back who can line up at receiver.

Not to mention he's always hurt.

I want to see Ford, Hayes, and Ball get some more significant work before drafting at DE. Getting a first rd DE would be Overkill, IMO.

And if we let Al go, I'm not too scared with a Brown/Jones/Vickerson DT rotation, with a FA or later round pick in there.

I would love to see a MLB with our first pick, rotating with Tulloch. Or even a Tulloch-type guy who can play outside or in.

Of course my #1 choice would be Sanchez, or whoever falls so long to come to us, but that's just not happening.

If Bradford comes out and the Lions take him then MAYBE Stafford could fall. Maybe not to us but far enough to where we could trade up for him like the Browns. I think the Lions go QB but other than the Vikings and 49ers I'm not sure any other team will go QB and I'm not even sure about those two.

I don't want us to take another junior in the first round.

I don't have the stats on this, but the vast majority of busts seem to be juniors who aren't ready to handle the NFL in my opinion. (see Pacman and Vince for our own examples).

Our window is now. We don't have 3 years for a guy to mature and become ready to contribute.

As I said elsewhere, I think there will be a lot of juniors declaring this year with the possibility (remote as it is) of a change to the rookie wage scale in 2010. Hopefully that forces a few more seniors to slip down to us. I also think this may be a year where it makes sense to trade one of next year's picks for a pick this year if next year's draft class is truly depleted.

Wow, Totally disagree there. IMO, He's the guy that we should draft in the 1st for depth. He's Romanowski without the steroids. Crazy MF'r.

i think he's gotten over-hyped because he plays at usc. he's been hurt a lot throughout his tenure there. plus, he's never really produced. 178 tackles and 1 INT in four years is pretty average, in my opinion.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of Cushing either. Product of the USC hype machine. Plus, I think if we're going to take a LB early, it needs to be a MLB or a WLB. Cushing is a Sam, and I think Keglar has shown flashes of potential and could be the Sam-in-waiting behind Thornton.

We either need a stud in the middle or a guy to groom that will eventually replace Keith.

We should take the best WR or RB that is available when we pick.

Someone who can make plays on offence.

Or, we can just sign Pacman again and play him at WR. :wink2:

Nah, he's been overshadowed by Maualuga and Mays all year. If he's overhyped, why did SC have the #1 overall D this year and he made All American? He's a SAM, why should he have tons of INT's in college? He was hurt in 05 and 06. He was fine in 08, missed one game.

He'd be a stud as an OLB for us. Bullock isn't going to be around forever.

If we could lobotomize him for a few million dollars extra, I'd be all for it.
